This is a long shot but do you know of trance track that has a female voice in the breakdown that says 'Like an eagle soaring in the sky...' Then some supersaws melody breakouts. Came out around 2001 and its been bugging me for that many years trying to find out the name 😫

Hello DJ. I'm from Brazil, I was researching DJ turntables, I saw that you had the Audio-Technica AT-LP120 and you didn't like it because they vary the speed. You opted for the Reloop RP 7000. Do you like it? Do you have the same problem with the dish variation? I want to buy them, what do you think? Or is it better to buy the SL-1200/1210? Congratulations, you are a great DJ.

First of all, thank you for your kind words. It’s a pleasure to put these mixes together and share with you. Having mixed on all 3 recently, the AT-120s are my least favourite. They’re not a total loss though, providing you use the pitch fader to beatmatch and don’t touch the record/platter. The RP7000s are much better and don’t have the same issue as I had with the ATs but they are a bit harder to get the beats lined up perfectly, probably as it’s a digital pitch control. They’re almost as good as the 1210s. The 1210s are by far the easiest to mix on and to keep beats matched. My advice would be if you can find a pair of 1210s that are in good condition and have been looked after, and you can afford to buy them and keep them looked after/repaired then they’re your best bet. The Reloops are great though if you don’t want to spend that much money. They feel solid but who knows how long they’ll last, but the 1210s have stood the test of time. Here in Brazil, SL 1200/1210 is rare to find in good condition, and when you do find it, it is at a high price. unfortunately the one that fits my budget is the audio-technica at-lp120. I'm going to test it with my friend and see if I can adapt. Thanks DJ

I’m sure you’ll be fine with them, and nudging with the pitch slider took me some time to get used to but it feels a bit more professional anyway and sounds better. The pros seem to mix like that on 1210s anyway (like The Thrillseekers etc). Upload some mixes here when you get them!
