The glass jar looks like part of an "marvel inverse oiler", which introduced a small amount of light oil and solvent into the intake based upon engine load, for supplemental lubrication and cleaning.

My Mazda RX-8 had an oil injection system, which pumped oil from the pan directly into the combustion chamber -- a necessity to lubricate the apex seals on a rotary engine. I would typically get about 1000 miles per quart of oil consumed. Thanks for the video. The first car I ever bought was a beetle. Kind of a wreck but that's how I learned to work on cars. Nice to see an old one in beautiful condition.

It's a late 1952. VWs made before Sept 52 didn't have front vent windows.

He said with the judson would give 60 to 70hp lmfao you know that's a lie ..maybe 45hp more like it if it's a 1300cc ...I've seen a guy test a stock vw 36hp engine had it dynoed than added the judson there and than on the same 36hp engine and the damn thing made less hp with the judson on the dyno lmfao true story ...so who really knows what hp it has but I know for sure it ain't no where near 60hp- 70hp lol it's much less than that forsure....

I don’t think a split has reached 100k yet. In fact a very nice one sold in BAT recently for $28k. I see people asking very high prices but I don’t think they are going for over 60k when it comes to an actual sale.
