I started messing around with a lock in WOTLK just to level it for the lore and test it out... I gotta say that cannibalize is actually incredible, 2min isnt shit for a CD and by the time you actually need health from mana tapping it seems like cannibalize is always up. Besideds the Vanilla differences the basic leveling is somewhat the same so I can say aside from WOTF, cannibalize i sawesome

You can sell all of your gear and grab immolate at lvl 1, which is mucg easier for tagging a bunch of mobs. Punching is also similar damage to that poop dagger anyway.

Yes, once you're a bit higher and get instant corruption, it's the best for tagging!

Undead warlocks can get their first minion (imp) before they reach level 2. I think that's the fastest of all available races.

Hunter and warlock are both great choices! They both get a pet that helps you in battle which will help a lot

very interesting that you need to buy your new spells instead of automatically get them by leveling, determined by your spec. I assume you can mix specs in classic ?

Imp is pretty weak, not much you can do about it unfortunately. Once you get the voidwalker at level 10, he can take a lot more hits. Eventually you'll get a spell called health funnel which heals your demon.

11:15 No, you can't. On pservers, the imp is ridiculously tanky, but on Classic, the imp dies in like 2 hits. He's a squishy as heck and you really shouldn't be trying to use him as a cheap tank.

Yeah just use voidwalker at 10+ I was just saying you can use the imp from 1 to 10 if you wish

@@raganark4214 That's the thing. You imp is not a viable tank, not even at level 5. Check out Kargoz's first beta stream, he tried to do exactly what you've suggested and his jaw drops when the imp just gets deleted. kzbin.info/www/bejne/inLQYaKKbMqjp9Um41s Check out the vid to about 5-10 mins after that timestamp, he tries to use the imp to tank some more only to realise it simply isn't viable.

Thanks for input guys. It's not a big deal if imp is squishy as locks have pretty decent survival from 1 to 10 anyway as long as you don't pull too many at once. Stick to 1 or 2 targets

Hey, sorry but I get where you come with the talent tree and why you made something like that. I don't think you are suited for making such a guide ( no offense) why would you go improved drain soul if you went just to get shadowburn? Why not improved shadowbolt if you are going deep affliction? Why not Shadow Mastery, more damage? Exactly why would you get Improved Drain Life if you aren't going Fel Concentration, it reduces pushback from it and allows you to drain even more. Why get Fel Stam, Int? Pet's are only a utility to help you, you chose improv void walker, but you are deep affliction, so you are best off with a felhunter. No hate as always.

Fair comment. This video was mainly intended as a starter guide for those early levels. It's far from a min max guide (there are plenty of those) check out staysafe warlock guides for the end game min/max if you're interested. Or for something a bit more basic check out the SM/ruin and DS/ruin builds for end game. Sorry if this guide mislead you in some way.

Axes arnt something really used for warlocks? Lol. And undead get extra under water breathing? Ummm Warlocks get full underwater breathing spell so pretty pointless for a lock.

Yep. No water breathing until level 16 though. Remember it's a guide for beginners/new players hence the axe thing lol

Go lock! Druids are okayish at heals. Feral can be viable but timing attacks can be extremely tedious

Raganark yes. I don’t really want to heal. Although I’m an amazing healer. And love feral but getting that single spot only to do subpar dps is going to suck. Only thing is as a Druid I can just avoid world pvp running away is so satisfying to only come back moonfire him again while he is trying to herb or mine and run away again. Whereas a lock you forced to fight till the death every time as you can’t just get away. Even though I hate pvp I refuse to roll on a pve server as all good raiding guilds are on pvp servers and I live for raiding. I am also 99% sure classic will launch BC next and druids really shine from BC onwards. I can always roll a Druid if that ever happens I guess.

When WoW launched my first toon was a Warlock. While they are fun most people are forgetting how bad the Warlock really was compared to other classes. Not saying they don't have their uses in raids etc just saying I think a lot of people who never played them before in vanilla are in for a rude awakening.

Yeah it won't make a huge difference. Just get more mana and higher crit chance. However with ruin builds it's actually very beneficial
