Love warlock. My only critique, and this may just come down to play style, is that if you roll too many green shadow wrath items, survivability and oom can become a real problem. With that blue chest you're around 2200/4000. I just don't think that's enough HP for a lock, especially at Gedon & Garr.

One thing I think is important to consider in a Guild environment is that Mana Igniting Cord should preferably go to Mages before Warlocks due to the fact, as you mentioned, that Warlock tier 2 is comparable to Mana Igniting Cord. Whereas Mage tier 2 is not, with less spell power and no crit at all.

Gloves of Spell Mastery are made by tailors and it will cost way too much gold, the recipe has a 0.02% drop chance from the Blackhand Iron Guards in Blackrock Spire so... not gonna happen. I couldn't find any pre-raid drops, please tell me I'm wrong.

you can buy the pattern for robe of the void. you dont have to farm scholomance until it drops thus eliminating a bunch of time

Alive what is the best phase 1/ phase 2 gear for PvP? The raid setup seems to be very much a glass cannon, which might not work out very well in pvp. If you could do a video about that I would defiantly watch it.

Skuls Ghastly Touch is 14 SD, and 131 top wand damage. Its the best wand. The Dragon Fingers +SD is 11, not 21, please remember our gear is based on 1.12, it was 11 since 1.10 and is 11 in live. Masters Hat is 1.13 item it will not be added til P4, P1 BIS would be the Green Lens of Shadow Wrath. Which is +36 and the highest you will get till P4. Same Applies to all Masters gear, that was added for Pre BC catch up. Its not in Classic. Where he says masters, you want Felcloth or Eternal, and they are not as high in SD as he is saying.

Warlocks and mages are wildly different. Locks are closer to hunters than they are to Mages. We have huge kits with plenty of utility spells to respond to a variety of situations, with high on demand and sustained damage. Add the fact that you get a pet and it adds to your versatility. This is why they are like Hunters. Mages are very similar to rogues in that they are one-trick ponies with pretty basic rotations/toolkits. Rogues, for example, stunlock and keep you under cc while they burst you down. Mages keep you slowed/frozen while bursting you down. obviously this is all oversimplified, but warlocks and mages are polar opposites when it comes to how they play and what abilities they have. Also, they are the second most PvP focused class, only behind Hunters.

Along the lines of not going for Robe of the Void, Pristine Hide of the Beast should never go to casters since R10 Helm and Shoulders will carry both Warlock and Mage in phase 2 (+23 sp dmg set bonus). The amount of farming for PHotB isn't a guarantee versus the rank 10 PvP awards. PHotB should also go to Feral tanks for Breastplate of Bloodthirst. Tanks should have priority if it is a guild run since early progression relies on good tank gear. Feral tanks are still useful in early progression and guild runs. Gloves of Spell Mastery isn't worth the mats (World BoE recipe drop, 10 Mooncloth, 10 Ghost Dye, 6 Golden Pearls, 6 Huge Emeralds) when you can get Hands of Power (26 spell) until you get Felcloth Gloves in phase 2 (33 shadow). 1% crit is worth around 14-15 spell damage in higher gear levels, probably 13-14 in lower gear levels because spell crit needs high spell damage to scale. Stacking spell crit is fine, but you will improve the overall raid dps for warlocks, whereas Warlocks chasing spell dmg and spell hit will have higher individual dps. So just a heads up if you are chasing meter placement. Also getting a Drakestone of Shadow Wrath is extremely lucky. The amount of farming for that is insane since it is a 5% chance for the stone, then another 5% for the Shadowrath

You can buy Robe of the void from ah with only 20g... there is no point farming it... There are plenty of patterns in ah, because only locks can use them... I farmed demonic runes for 4 hours, and the rest of he stuff was around 100g from ah... Not bad

Why do you choose Robe of Volatile power as raid BiS in P1? Do you make it dependent on having all the other BIS pieces (bc the more SP, the higher crit scales, iirc?) or does crit actually scale pretty high on classic WoW? No other guide chooses that chest piece as raid BiS in P1, that's why I am asking and I have never heard any warlock choosing that chest piece over "...of shadow wrath".

@@AnnihilationXable unless there is an hidden mechanic that makes your first spells have a higher ciritical chance it's the same, increasing your crit chance by like 5% won't make you crit all the time but when you don't crit you do lower damages- it's the same dps.

@@ajo12Oba I am not saying 1 hit is worth over 20 shadow damage. Dark advisors pendent shouldn't be in the game untill phase 2 according to Ion. Neither will anastari heirloom. Also, drakestone rolls 23 damage, making it a total of 30. So yes, 44 spell damage or 30 spell damage and 1 crit both beat should harvester. Man robe of the void pattern was 30g in AH.. materials for 300tailor was like 200g.. sold greens and baggs for 120g and 3 hours.. means 80g for 1-300 tailor and the recipe.. now u just need to hunt the mats for robe itself.. 2hours? So 5 hours 80g for something that lasts u several months? Not worthy? Cmon

Sounds like you misinterpreted. I am not arguing that "of shadow wrath" is SUPER important. Just that some slots have of shadow wrath as bis. As for the robe, I clearly state that robe of the void is better, but is only marginally better and is not worth the time and gold investment
