Classic WoW - 1.13.6 GCD Cooldown Update EXPLAINED

Hey chads. Never before have I felt so compelled to rush and make a video as I have today but it NEEDED TO HAPPEN.
Everything I stated about the Nightfall axe in my previous video (linked here: • Classic WoW - Get Meme... ) still applies. Do not allow yourself to get re-shackled to this trashcan tier weapon just because the blues and purples are mad you're out DPSing them. Mash your spell buttons harder. I believe in you.
A 1ppm debuff that lasts 5 seconds is NOT WORTH. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. If for whatever reason further testing provides evidence that Nightfall is higher than 1ppm now due to the GCD change then great, even more reason for an offtank to have it.

The full list of weapons that were being blocked by the GCD are listed on the armaments discord. I'm not 100% if DTC was one of them and I don't believe it was (unfortunately?).

awesome now those dark edges can proc after you use earthshock or a shield in pvp also since i mainly like 31/20/0 this is a win for me now i can rock nightfall for selfish reasons

I'm not sure if dark Edge was one of the weapons that was affected by the gcd blocking. An entire list can be found in the classic wow armaments discord. It wasn't a big list to the best of my recollection..

So how do we reset autoattacks in case we want to use one of those weapons hek??

if I'm understanding you correctly nothing resets the swing timer except spells with a cast time so like lightning bolt etc would reset your swing timer but I'm unsure why you'd want to do that

Hello Holderhek, First of all wanted to say you've been a huge help in knowing enchancement shaman better and parsing higher than never before. As for this news it saddens me to see it "fixed" - my guild is already simming left and right, adding tons of hypothetical conditions to get me and other fellow enchancement to use Nightfall again. It might have been fun before bwl, It's not anymore now we can be as real a shaman dps can be, not counting the utility we bring. I'm at the point where If they do want to force me to use Nightfall I'll just stop the game, it would not be fun to me anymore. Even being 1st enhancement shaman on all bosses for the current content would not bend their judgment (not that I am) Depending on what happens, It's been a pleasure following you :)

I mean you got to let them know. They can either keep your damage and keep your totems or they can keep a weapon that nobody's going to use. If they really really care about increasing caster DPS for 5 seconds a minute then they can give this weapon to an off tank. I mean tell literally any other class that they have to use their pre-rais bis weapon for the entire game and see how happy they're going to be.

GCD blocking was lowering procs artificially. This does not make it proc more just allows it to proc as much as it was supposed to, which to the best of my knowledge is still 1 ppm.

@@hvdiv17 it had nothing to do with windfury (fortunately/unfortunately?) it was specific weapons that were being blocked by the gcd.

F.e. our Enhancement Shaman's best overall average is 92 on the parses. Does our Enhancement Shaman suck? I don' think so, as you say he's very valuable when it comes to the extra benefits like totems, but also has the option to heal and he, along with an OT, will be wielding Nightfall to atleast test the new procrate.
