the pet never despawned for me. Tried trapping it several times, and kiting Simone around, the pet always wound up joining the fight. Had to trap Simone, kill the pet, then kill Simone.

Good job on the kill I'd defo recommend killing pet first, I think at the start of classic it was possible to bug the pet out but it's been fixed since!

I cheesed Klinfran by jumping on and off the tree. Simone was easy using your guide, her pet despawned while I was kiting her around the hot springs. I'm still working on Solenor and Artorius.

Hey Remy, I dont think i had pathfinding when i did this but feel free to spec into it as this will definitely help. As for minor speed, minor speed enchant wont stack with other move speed so it wont work. This goes the same for zanza swiftness! try with pathfinding and i bet you find a massive improvement. Constantly watch ahead of you for scarabs as I found when you are properly watching out for scarabs you find things much easier!

Remy, he catches you when you're running up the hill? That's because for some reason he's faster when doing uphills, at least it did seem to be the case when I did them :P But on flat ground you can outrun him with normal aspect of the cheetah. Just use trap and concussive when he comes uphill and you'll be fine :) (by the way Solenor can be cheesed in a same way as Klinfran... there's a spot northeast of his spawn area in that hive where you can make him run similar circles as Klinfran. And if you never immobilize him, which you shouldn't if you're cheesing him, he will never cast fear, since he "learns" it only after being immobilized. You can however stun him with imp concussive or scatter shot him when pulling him to the spot. Those spells don't make him "learn" fear).

thanks. Silithus you can use Wing Clip (1-2 lvl) boss not use fear and shadow dmg just slow (50-55%)

Or you can just cheese both Klinfran and Solenar with terrain pathing to make them 100% trivial in difficulty :P Solenar won't even cast fear is you never immobilize him (stun from imp concussive or scattershot doesn't make him "learn" fear, but improved trap that immobilizes him seem to do so, and wing clip most certainly). I mean, cheesing them out shows just as much skill, since it shows you can do that "clever use of game mechanics" and shows that you know the game just as much as doing them the "hard" way :'D But yeah, these strats work too, but if you're some blue/green geared hunter with crappy blue sub-lvl60 bow and melee weapons, they become completely trivial with a bit of cheese. Even Simone can be cheesed with pathing, but I just did that one like in this video, since she's easy enough anyway.

kind of beside the point the whole "no cunsumables" thing if you are doing this in raid gear. these bosses are designed to be done in pre-raid gear (and yes, possible w/o consumables).

he has t1 shoulders on. big deal. I would hardly consider him "geared out" in order to do this quest you need to kill domo to get the leaf, perhaps he got some drops on the way.
