Classic Wow PVP - How to Hunter

Tips and tricks on playing Hunter in Classic WOW PVP.
Hunters are a really strong choice for PVP and each class match up throws up different challenges.
Some of the fights are against lesser geared players so won't be as quick or easy against well geared opponents
After recording this I also learnt quite a few things I need to improve on as well (over spamming aspects for one).

xrelik in theory if u could one shot the pet. I’ve played wow since Jan of ‘05 and A hunter as my main, ive never once encounter a time where a warr one shotted my pet. Maybe it can these days in BfA, but in Vanilla, nah.

xrelik would love to see you post a vid of you one shotting a pet. Cuz that has never happened in any history of wow. I didn’t bother playing BFA, but this is classic we talking here, so that is even more unlikely.

Also an amazing way to kill paladins (i know because I'm alliance and have played one) is to use a scorpion pet. The scorpion stacks up to 5 stacks of poison and when the pally cleanses it only removes one stack allowing your viper sting to stay on and drain them away.

Only way to kill paladin is to burst. Aimed multi from trap with rapid. Then scatter aimed multi

Super good video. Would love if you made more of these and went more in-depth. You could include macros, which battlegrounds are best suited for Hunters, the areas in each battleground that the Hunter can hold better than others or the jobs they can do the best, interactions (like the Scare Beat on Druids that another comment mentioned), etc. If you made a series on it I would eat that shit up.

5/5 entrapment is a must!! Especially if you're doing world pvp. Your traps can devastate an area.

You and your pet Share combat status, you have to make Sure nothing hits you and your pet (which has to be passive) for 400ms

For Horde: Orcs due to hardiness and +5% increased pet dmg; Trolls for AS/DPS racial and health regen; Tauren are not reqommended (big character model and lowest base agility in the game which is bad since it is your most important stat) For Alliance: Night Elfes and Dwarfes are both solid. Night elfs have invis and highest base agility and Dwarfs have Stoneform giving you immunity to bleeds and poisoning for 8 sec. also gets you out of a rogues blind.

This video is not for Classic wow - its about vanila! In Classic wow u cannot trap coz u ll be in combat and FD not solving this - still in combat

What are you talking about? It will work, but u need to control ur pet. If ur pet is attacking the target and u use FD - you will still remain in combat. That's why u need to make sure ur pet is not engaging during FD + FT phase.

It is not a bug. Blizzard has stated that it is working as intended. They are not allowing you to do it.

That's not an addon, it's in the interface options > combat > enable floating combat text

Paladins are an absolute pain in the ass for hunters in group pvp, they dispell all your cc and all your utility spells. I'd much rather fight shamans.

@@CrusaiderLP FD is supposed to drop agro and thus combat allowing you to trap. Currently its bugged and quite a few posts on the forums about it. Hopefully Blizzard will fix sooner than later.

An asshole mage tried to gank me while I was taking on 3 NPC's with half hp. I stopped fighting the NPC's, went for that mage, killed him, feigned death to avoid NPC's, put up humanoid tracker, camped the mage another 8 times then left and caught up to him another 3 times between quests killing him... I generally let everyone do their own thing and don't mind a gank here and there or even being ganked but if you got a mutual respect going on letting each other quest and decide to go against it when you're taking on multiple mobs to ensure you're own safety because you hope mobs will help you kill me then I'm going to camp cause that's dog move.

This video is the classic version of "This is the best clips I can provide but it's not realistic". You will NOT have 6K health in classic. You MIGHT have 3.7K mana, but if you do, it'll be at the cost of health or other stats and mana is not your best stat anyway. Also, fuckin timestamp man. Nobody wants to watch the full video more than once for advice.
