I took my first Zentangle class with a CZT at my local library yesterday. I’ve spent a snowy rainy day here in Southern Maine watching your KZbin and having so much fun learning the Languange of Zentangle. Thank you, it was really lovely. I can't draw, but I love zentangle. I have a dreadful neatness issue, and I do it all in pencil and then go over the top with the pen. I know that it isn't a thing with zentangle, but I can't help myself. Sending love from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤️

Maybe once you get confident in your art, you can eliminate the need to draw in pencil first. Try one simple pattern and just repeat it as a way to focus and relax. I’m also a perfectionist but I like to relax with Zentangle. 🥰

And I’m having a blast drawing to my little heart’s content on these fragments of paper that keep everything manageable. I’m storing mine in a tea tin that is just the right size. Is there an explainable difference between Garlic Cloves, and Ravel???

I think it’s a minor difference. Garlic cloves initially connects using a straight line. Ravel is an S curve. But they do end up being a lot alike. Great question!
