I say this in the nicest way that we need to clone at least hundred more persons like you to fix all the instruments that need it! That level of repair precision you apply is amazing.

Thanks RZ. We do have TechDeck owners around the world now who are carrying the torch as I make my way to retirement.

Hi Mike. I haven't watched one of your vids for a while. It was great to watch this one while having my morning coffee. I just want to say a big thank you to you for these how-tos. I have a hobby that is buying low-mid quality second hand guitars and getting em going. I've learned so many skills from you. I can rebuild hopelessly destroyed guitars of all types. It's a very satisfying hobby. There's a mountain of rebuilt guitars in my garage. After I finish a job I play the guitar until another is finished then throw it on the pile in the shed. First world problems, eh. All the best. Mark.

@@StringTechWorkstations. Hey Mike, you mentioned in a vid one time that you use one size fret crowning tool for pretty much every fret job. It was the large file wasn't it? For bass frets. I'm sick to death of using my three sided file.

Hi Michael! This guitar is a real gem... thank you for bringing it back, I have been playing it every day since I brought it home, I think the L-00 is getting jealous. I can't believe how lucky I was to find this instrument. Shawn B

Mike you are a truly skilled master. I have to second what RZ stated. You will be truly missed when and if you retire. You said in his reply Tech Decks are everywhere. Do you have any graduates in San Diego, Ca? I would like compensated nuts and bridges on my Martin and Takamine.

Thanks Robert. I'll put some feelers out to my Patreon Subs. I know that there are more TechDecks in California than any of the other States.

Moshe Alvarez is about 2 hours away. He definitely has the LP / Strat / comp nut down now. The Takamine with the split saddles should be do-able with the comp nut. .... pretty sure you can squeeze the intonation out of those split saddles. The Martin will need a cantilevered bridge saddle. Not sure if Moshe is doing that yet. Good Luck ! MMcC

I would have loved to have seen how you managed to put the slight radius on the fingerboard. Was a block of wood with sandpaper in the shape of the radius used ?😅

Once all of the correction was done and the new frets installed / crowned and polished ... I just gave it a quick wipe with( silicon freeze ) lemon oil. Done.
