When it comes to music, SM is just top class. When you listen to the song on your own it’s just so magical already and then when you listen to all the reactor’s comments, you’re like it’s even cooler now. 14:10 This line is actually Naevis, a mixture of 20 voices including the members, edited out and call it a day. That makes this voice sounds robotic or in autotune. SM really invested so much to naevis voice that her debut was delayed for months now. Anyhows, give editor a raise. He/she's so funny I can't handle it

I got into aespa cause of Spicy but this one got me hooked and made me their stan. I've never listened to a Kpop song with such vibe. It's so eerie but cinematic and splendid at the same time. And it represents their lore too well I felt like I was stepping into their world for real. WTMW will remain as one of aespa's best songs to me

Words to describe this song: Dark, Eerie, Atmospheric, Cinematic, Lush, Dreamy, Tense, Grandiose It's just a really grandiose and complete sounding orchestral pop song and a way of introducing the My World soundscape. When I think of the My World soundscape, I am thinking of natural and simple instrumentation like orchestral and ambient pop songs as opposed to the farty clunky maximalist soundscape of the savage ep.

"Eerie but very bright". I agree with this description! That's what I feel about Welcome to My World. I instantly like this song when it was released. The song is unique it gives different kind of feelings, mysterious as they go into a new place (the Real World), but also have little joy as they get to explore new things. This song is definitely one of my fav aespa's songs!

the bit about naevis in the call and response, i dont know if it's just me but it felt like every consecutive response naevis did in that section (i think there's like 3 lines) sounded musically better, especially the difference between the first and last "this city's so pretty with your lights on"... like as if the "AI" is learning(?) and seemingly sounding more human as time "passes", i dont know if that was in any way intentional but it popped in my mind when i heard it randomly a while back. unless the last response was one of the members and not naevis at all and everything i said is poop.

You’re right on! Conceptually, it makes sense that naevis is learning about the world and her response at first would be unfamiliar, almost awkward. Aespa welcomes naevis into the real world and shows her how to fit in through that call and response sequence. I love this song so much 🥹

I feel like that was the purpose it also feels like in the mv it’s suggesting that naevis IS the city. Like the spirit of the city or what have you. The bridge between technology and nature or something like that. It’s all pretty thought provoking and I hope it gets explored more in wherever the story is going next.

oh nice I can't wait to watch your video, this song reminds me of movie ost (i will update with my reaction of your reactions later) update: I honestly don't know much about SM lore, but I think your explanation made sense. I wasn't a fan of aespa but SM did good with this song, it's aespa's most interesting release for sure, I kept hearing it in my head for a few days after it was released.
