This song had elevated aespa as South Korea's digital powerhouse. It's amazing that the song about 'Kwangya' and 'virtual reality world' end up topping the local music charts. Most of the knetz said that aespa bring back the joy and fun in KPOP just like back then when 1st and 2nd gen KPOP groups were still dominating. Well I mean KPOP songs back then were quite hype and hardcore.

Exactly. I was losing interest in Kpop for over 4 years but aespa lured me back again with their concept, lore, and music. This is what Kpop supposed to be like. Fun, entertaining, and experimental!

This was definitely the biggest “growing on me” song of the year (although their latest comeback may take that title). Such a different kind of sound/song structure compared to others. as someone who has probably has next level has her most played song of the year and also someone who LOVED it at first listen, i'm proud to see how much the comment section has evolved since then. seeing the musicians enjoy it and say some interesting points of what makes this be appealing to a lot of people, made me appreciate the song more in itself. honestly now, no matter what people say, its a *hit song* especially in korea, its been 5 months since it was released but still top 5 in the melon (biggest music server in korea) chart, and EVERYONE in korea from different ages is still dancing to it. more than anything else, i just love seeing the next level appreciation from everyone!

I must say NL is definitely the most confusing at first listen coz it’s like 2-3 songs are being mashed up so u have to listen to it several times to follow/catch up to the flow unlike Savage which is quite consistent esp in the pre chorus. Nevertheless I love these 2 songs soooo muuuch and i must say experimental music has been growing on me. This song honestly unexpectedly became my song of the year. Like it's SOO addictive and catchy and overwhelmingly good. When I first heard it, I also thought it was too repetitive, and then the sections kept changing, and then I had huge respect for what they were doing but was like "hmm interesting." But soon enough the song and the dance were living in my head rent free and I could not stoppp listening to it

Despite the clear separation of the song's "sections", all of the sections themselves are so satisfying in isolation, which I think is the reason why this song works so well. The analysis from the reactors was spot-on! Once they get around to Savage, though, it will be pure chaos.

It's one of those songs no one likes at a first listen. Then you realize how genius it is. And then it suddenly makes so much sense and you don't even hear these insane switches anymore. You're just screaming them in your shower every day...

LOVEEE the edits over reactors with all their different reactions especially the mathematical equations. And the whole metric modulation investigation part was really cute and funny. Next Level is that kind of song that hits everybody in the face and gives them whiplash at first, then somehow gets you to do the ㄷ dance in the end. This channel is always one of the few I look out for when it comes to songs like these. Will be anticipating your reaction to Savage!

The original song is the famous "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" OST, but they arranged the song well in their colors. SM always finds songs that go well with their singers. Some of the songs are not made by them, but they are arranged nicely to suit the color of their singers. It's a musically interesting company.

That one group section was really kept me sticking to the song and then the first section did a comeback like an anticlimax but then if it didn't it would just really feel like they roughly patched different songs together. I think it made listeners grounded and still familiar with the song. Something like oh I can't get enough of that crazy bridge let me listen to the whole song again ㄷ

As someone who loved the song the first listen this was so interesting to watch cause when it first came out most people absolutely hated the composition of the song and how each parte isn't "related" at all, when that's exactly what I love about it, i get how it can throw people off but i always find myself attracted to those kind of unexpected songs that have abrupt beat changes, and in this song specifically it makes complete sense if you follow the storyline, at the end of the day it's still super catchy and it gets stuck in your mind so that's why a lot of people ended up growing to like the song lmao. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about savage cause even tho i needed a little more time than this song to digest it, i still think it's an amazing song and the whole mini album is setting aespa really up there
