I hope everyone discovers classical music sometime in their life. When I discovered it, it was like a door opening onto a beautiful world I had no idea existed. It brings me peace, happiness, solace, and joy.

Good for you. My parents exposed me and my siblings to classical music as children. How we hated going to those concerts. As I grew a little more mature, I came to appreciate it. I wanted to learn classical guitar. I took it up when I was 12, and for better or worse, I have an excellent ear, and never learned to read music beyond the third position. My mother had hopes of me becoming a concert guitarist. My teachers all said I had the talent. Unfortunately life intervened in a multitude of ways. I hope to pick it up again soon. Meanwhile, I sure do appreciate these long recordings Halidon uploads for us to listen to.

@@lisasilverman3456 - Good on your parents! I got the exposure to classical music in community college and university and am forever grateful. Concert attendances were mandatory. In 7th grade, however, received exposure to visual art on a field trip to the Art Institute Chicago via our English teacher. This was public school, also!!! That wouldn't happen today! But was late '60's, so a different world.

My parents both took piano lessons, and all of my siblings and me took them as well, so we had a ton of exposure to classical music. Didn't fully appreciate it until high school, but I'm grateful to my parents for forcing piano on us. I love it now, and still play it. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

@@giggle_snort Maybe if my mother had talked me into keeping up with my piano lessons, I would have been able to learn but I gave up fairly early and never did. My twin sister learned, and inherited our family's upright Steinway. We're almost 73 and I will never regret quitting my lessons. Be thankful you hung on and learned to tinkle those ivory keys.

Of course I see this literally 6 days into winter... fall 2020 really was amazing, I felt like it lasted longer. I listened to a lot of Baroque this year, especially relating to seasons thanks to Vivaldi. I would have loved this track in the fall. Here in NC the signs of fall showed up in the last days of August, then September got alarmingly-cool in its first half. But late October-late December sucked because of the leaves being knocked away due to rains; fall never lasts long enough, you have to enjoy those early/mid-fall scenes as much as you can with the leaves!
