Because the original genre for the songs played by the pianist was classical. You're right, I can educate, or inform, without judgement or shade. I'm just tired of all of us, myself included, thinking we "know," when we don't. Ain't nothing new under the sun. I'm also tired of feeling alone when hearing current radio songs and recognizing them as recycled melodies. For example, (I'm reaching out here, genuinely asking), wouldn't you say Lil Nas X's "Need somebody to love" is JUST like Outkast's "HeyYa!"? This is how to get kids to go from game systems to creating new music that is not just digital beats and samples. I was fortunate to meet Dre at a studio and observe he’s genius. The way he incorporated strings and other instruments layered into his music is more than some people understand at first. This shows the side of hip hop and rap that you can just use an instrumental and still bob your head to this
