Well think logically for a moment. Let’s rewind 100 years. What songs do we continue to sing from that era? Probably the top 5% is all that survived. Many singers have come and gone, had their 15 minutes, and were forgotten forever. Point here being that all of the examples we’re familiar with of old music is literally the best that era had to offer. Nowadays we haven’t had a century to weed through all the mess and find our top percents that live on to the next generation. Instead of defining the era as we have in the past by listening solely to their legacy, we now have all of today’s music which necessarily includes the rest of that 95% that isn’t so great. Naturally, our schema of old music contains more “good” songs than our schema for nowadays music.
@christopherparks29879 ай бұрын

@blessedbees42473 жыл бұрын
@Dante Griffin I’m a fifty-five year old woman from Scotland, part of that “old generation” lol. And sadly, I have to agree with you. We had the best music ever, of any generation in my book ! However, we are still alive and kickin’ and some of us are still writing this kind of music. I just have to ask you one question, what’s stopping the younger generation from writing music like this ? There are so many talented people out there right now and the only problem I can see is the younger generation has lost their soul, their heart. I listen to the music coming out now and it all, basically, sounds the same. If you, Dante, can feel this music and I see that you can by your comment, get busy and make what you feel and then spread it.....everywhere ! Save the music ! Save it from the banalities of the present day pop culture ! Don’t let record companies force you into producing crap so they can make money off your talent ! You would be amazed at the music you can write when your sitting around with your guitar, or any instrument, and you’re starving and bummed out lol. Just listen to your soul and write brother write lol. And play music like this every chance you get to keep it alive. Your comment has given me faith and it was a pleasure to read it, thanks for the hope !

Music is music. Black or white or whatever... good soul, love enthusiasm, passion, just pure soul... it’s universal. There’s nothing like playing music with your folks. Bringing it to life. The word is PASSION. Anyone who can sing or play with passion is an artist. God bless you all.

my dad always told me when I was a baby he would lay with me, and I would cry and cry and cry, and he would sing me this song, and I stopped crying. He did that with me till I was about four, and I can kind of remember that. My dad was a really great man, a loving and caring man, and he always told me how much he cried with joy once his baby boy came into this world, and brightened it for him. So whenever I miss my home, or my father I listen to this, and cry a bit. I know that whatever trouble I may be in, whatever pain I feel, my dad will always stand by my side, and be there for me. Im really lucky to have such a noble man to look up to, and I hope that when the time comes for me to have my own family, I can at least stand as tall as he does, that I can be as good a father like he is. It hurts me now to see him work so hard for our family, we don't have much, and its is a hard life we live, he gets up at 6:00 am and works until 2-3:00 am just to pay the bills and rent, and to make sure we have food. I mean, I barely see the man anymore, because he's always working, and he comes home in pain, and exhaustion, for us. Im not a religious man but, I pray to god I can me as good and as amazing and as caring of a man he is. I love him so much, words cant describe how mich I love and appreciate this man. this mans name is james taea i love u daddy
