Classical Singer First Time Hearing Dimash SOS (Reaction) WOW!! Insane Voice!! (Subs:8 languages)

My name is Josh. I have been waiting to hear Dimash but nothing could've prepared me for this. How on earth can someone have that vocal range and be that gifted and at such a young age? I'm in awe!
Again, I'm looking to mix it up with some "cool" pop/rock/r&b music from today's leading artists. I am also open to reacting to videos from Pentatonix, Voice Play, Home Free, Voctave or similar, if I haven't seen them. More Dimash also, please.

He is 22 here with a 6 octave 2 semi tone range. He turned 26 May the 24th of 2020. He speaks Kazakh his native tongue and Russian fluently, and Mandarin and English he is taking lessons. He plays 8 instruments, most forget the Xylephone. He started with classical piano and singing at age 5. He went to a school for the performing arts. He has 2 degrees in music and is going for his Ph.D. now. He wrings every single sound from every single note unlike many singers. He can play with the breath and sound and mic and give you things you never imagined. He steps on the stage and he is in charge of the stage and his audience. You will see him use his whole body to sing. His fingers move like he is playing an instrument, you will find he always has a straight posture. You see his knees bend which helps the diaphragm. But his neck and mouth are always stress free. You will see he has fun singing. Kind of mischievous. His mother still sings' she is an opera singer, a soprano. His father was a pop singer, composer and lyricist but is now Dimash's Manager. Dimash just recently signed to a new company in the States. Hopefully he will perform some more here. His last concert here was in December 2019 at the Barclays in NYC which he sold out with 20,000. His concerts in the West are much smaller than they are in the East. His sister sings as well. His brother is a musician and both have played at concerts with him on occasion. Both are younger. He lived with his siblings and was raised by his grandparents while his parents performed and they all still live together. They are a very close family.

Josh, this contest was in China in 2017 when Dimash was only 22 years old. This song, SOS, made him an overnight sensation in China and today he is an international star. He had his first US concert this past Dec. at the Barclay Center, in NY. I hope to will will follow Dimash all the way through The Singer. You have just experience the introduction to the world stage of the most amazing voice of our time, and perhaps of all time. Training started when he was 5 yrs old. He is classically trained, along with pop, and even scatology. At the time of this contest, this young man had a 6 octave range. Now it is at a 7 octave range. But what is even more impressive, is the emotional range of this sweet child (and since I am a grandma, he is a child to me). He has a natural instinct that leads him to interpret lyrics in such a way that wrenches emotions from the toughest of us. I would recommend Sinful Passion, Ogni Pietra, Passione, Know, and Across Endless Dimensions. But Warning!! Strap yourself to your chair. Once you have experienced these performances, you will never be the same. As far as Tim Faust is concerned ----- The most amazing bass singer of all time IMO because he can bring that amazing Dragon Growl into his highest tenor notes and send women away with wet panties.

It’s not that he can hit high notes, it’s that he can high notes that even some women struggle to hit, and he can maintain them for long periods. Also, his voice is so clear up there too, the tone/timbre of his voice is wonderful, but he also has a lot of power too. What I find remarkable, is his showmanship. For someone so young, he performs every song like a seasoned professional. He doesn’t just sing, he performs each song with emotional intelligence and passion.

I love how so many people equate high notes with being a better singer. Of course I'm being sarcastic here because I don't understand why people seem to think higher notes means better singing. Take Sammy Hagar versus David Lee roth. A lot of people seem to think that because Sammy Hagar's voice is more powerful and he could sing higher notes they somehow he was a better singer but if you think about it's not really true. Dave wrote much catchier melodies is a far better lyricist and his showmanship and the way he sang those melodies was more memorable than Sammy Hagar at least in most true Van Halen fans' opinions. Take Angelina Jordan. When she was young she could sing all the high notes like Whitney Houston but now that she's gotten older she has always had a naturally placed lower register but she could sing low notes that even men who sing Bass are comfortable with and basically no women out there can match. So register doesn't equate better singing. I would put Steve Perry in his prime in the mid late seventies over this dimash guy any day for being a superior singer not note hitter.

When we know that this song is from the musical Starmania, musical collaborative project Québec-France, and that is singing in the part wher the hero is on the ground dying and hallucinating, seing himself as a bird flying high in the sky, we appreciate the high and the low tone aswell as the acting gestures of Dimash. At the end of the lyrics, we sing to the hero's last breath: Dodo, l'enfant do, meaning Sleep, my child, sleep!
