This music video was made in the spring of 2009 for a little over $1,000. Primarily, the rental of the studio where they shot it in. The opening spoken word was taken from audio recordings of the West Memphis Three trial. You will see headless white mannequins in the background, They were props that Andy found at the studio and fit the all white contrast scenes. Andy was 18 when this video was made.

He was so young here. It’s admirable the drive he had at such a young age. He has interviews where he talks about the struggles and how he made this first video. Loving your deep dive into BVB. And it’s always nice when you find out the members of a band you like are genuinely nice, intelligent people.

Andy was around 16 during the first recording of knives and pens he was 18 in the video. "We Stitch These Wounds" came out in 2010 when he was 19 their label at the time wanted Andy to sound like the video version and his voice had gotten deeper from the time, he was 16 to 19 they tuned his vocals up on the recording of "We stitch these wounds" which is why he sounds different.

As someone who fell in love with Knives and Pens when I was like ~16, and have rediscovered and re-fallen-in-love with BVB over these past several months, I'm really excited to see you travel through their discography and discover their journey, much like I have recently. I think you and Angelina Jordan would be a good collaboration. With the right song I think y’all can come up with an amazing sound. That would be cool to see. She was also on America’s got talent and lost. Don’t know if it was to dogs, but yeah lolmuch love and good vibes to you
