I like Japanese myth and legends . Benki and the bell and the one where Benki is trying to collect I think it’s 1000 swords to show he’s the best swordsmen in Japan . Are two of my favorites. Benki is one of my favorite characters

Interesting. I'm not familiar with that one. I have to admit that, despite having lived in Japan, I don't really know the history and legends as well as I should.

Have you ever read any books or comics where they take a real life person and add a fictional slant to their life or do a what if scenario. ? Like what if Bruce Lee had lived or what Elvis faked his death and became a detective?

I'm trying to think.... I don't think I've read books where that's been the entire premise, but I have read some fantasy books that have used historical characters. Anno Dracula is the first one that springs to mind. Have you read that one?

@@JoelSwagman I’m reading a book where Elvis faked his death and became a detective it’s called Elvis has not left the building by J.R rain I’m chapter 6 I started it last night chapters 1 though five are short .

Did you ever read the novel the outsiders or goosebumps the gosht next door ?

I've read the Outsiders. I never got in to Goosebumps, though. I missed that by just a few years.

@@JoelSwagman they started reprinting the goosebumps novels and I can tell the series goosebumps horrorland series has fun gimmick where after the main story is the done there is a sub story after where the kids go to a theme park and meet the kids from the next book . And go on a adventure

You know, I occasionally see goosebump books here in Vietnam. Not regularly, but they pop up every now and again. Maybe I should try them out the next time I see them. If booktube is anything to judge by, these books certainly seem to have made an impression on a generation of readers.

@@JoelSwagman and there quick reads most people seam to finish them pretty fasts . My personal favorite of the goosebumps is attack of mutant . Here’s the top five from what I’ve heard 5. The haunted mask 4. Deep trouble 3. One day at horror land 2 night of the living dummy 1 Welcome to dead house Some say night of the living parts 2 and 3 are better then part one . And I’m not a big fan of cursed dolls
