I agree that Gethsemane is fantastic! I actually like it better than Ted Neely’s version. Not to take away from Ted as he’s very good but I thought Dan was even better.

@@Kristina-jf4hd I just saw Neeley’s 50th anniversary video-at 80 years old he’s still hitting those high notes. Amazing. Anyway, I won’t compare-nor would I compare Neeley to Ian Gillian. They’re all wonderful. I also love John Legend’s far more recent version-but I love that one more for the acting and staging-Legend had more trouble with the range needed for the song, though I do love his voice. Anyway, Dan does sing the song like it was written for him.

I really enjoyed your analysis of Dan Vasc singing Amazing Grace. I truly love his version of this classic hymn. Dan is from Brazil and records, arranges, mixes his music there. If you react to Dan’s covers, his fans will follow you and listen to your reactions. I really enjoyed your reaction is very in-depth and educational. Dan covers music from heavy metal, opera, folk and some spirituals out there he does it all. He is classically trained, which I think adds a richness to his tamber. Dan is an awesome person too, look up some of his live streams, and you can get to know him. He’s an online gamer as well. English is not Dan’s first language either, although, he speaks better English than some Americans do lol Dan is from Brazil, however, he does sing in Italian, Latin, German, Portuguese, Brazilian, English, he’s very eclectic.

There is quite a bit of music that I don't like, but Dan draws my attention to listen to it. It is not only his voice that is nicer to listen to, but also his passion that he sings with. He doesn't just sing the song, he is the song. I don't know how to explain it otherwise. He's just a great artist. Thank you for your interesting reaction.

Thank you for your insightful response to this wonderful cover by Dan. I liked it very well. I had never seen anyone do their analyzes in nature. Top.... Dan's vocal abilities and presence are unique and fascinating at the same time. Dan has a catalog of 245 covers. He sings about opera, rock and pop, metal, Disney songs, Nightwisch music, Simon and Garfunkel, Elvis... the list gets too long. It's worth taking a look, each one is unique.

As a Brazilian, let me welcome you to South America. I’m really glad you enjoyed Rio, it’s such a beautiful and diverse place with tons of things to do and see. You’re in Paraguay now, so I hope you had the chance to visit Iguazu Falls, on the border of Brazil and Argentina, very close to the border of Paraguay as well. The falls are huge and gorgeous and the national park around them is beautiful, with several places to visit. Anyway, hope I’m not bothering you. As to Dan, he’s not only a very talented singer, but he’s a musical genius, he’s able to touch any classic and turn it into something even more special, as he did with Amazing Grace. Hello, Phil. I don’t think you’ve been around long, but I saw this come up and I enjoyed your analysis, as well as the travelogue. As you are obviously an expert in vocal anatomy, I wonder if you can answer a question for me. You talked about how Vasc makes use of the mask. I have noticed that he seems to show his upper teeth more than just about anyone I’ve listened to. What effect does this have on the sound, if any? It’s too bad you weren’t introduced to this while you were still in Brazil. He probably would have liked to meet you…well, as long as you weren’t a “creepy” fan! 😂 Wait! I had to come back to add that I just went to your KZbin listing and saw that you advised everyone to “have an epic life.” Are you sure you don’t already know Dan Vasc? If you listen to some of his outros you’ll see what I mean.

Thank you for your reaction. Dan is classically trained and has also coached singing. I'm not sure whether he still does. You may be interested to know that he does a lot of non-metal covers. As you delve more into his music, you will notice that he puts his heart and soul into everything that he does, whether it's serious or frivolous. He's truly an amazing artist.

Thanks for reaction to Dan. He could sing the phone book and it would go to the top of the charts. He can cover any genre from opera to heavy metal but his home base is metal. Dan is a powerhouse and brings emotion in everything he sing. His vocals are clean and clear spans many vocal registers. His catalog has over 200+ song. He is on the cusp of reaching his goal of 1 million subscribers. Just a few suggestions for you any of the Witcher songs, Bring Me To Life, Getsamane, Son Of Pain, Dawn Over A New World, I'll Make A Man Out Of You, My Heart Will Go On is his latest. However, let me add that what blew my mind was the ease with which you were able to produce as if you were the same guy. I think if I was blindfolded and you applied yourself, I may not be able to tell the difference. Great video.
