they were talking about Ailee's voice sounding tired, thats probably true, this show has about a 6-8hr recording time because they do two episodes at once in the studio every other week, and there's no telling what other gig's the celebrity singers have already been to that day before coming to this studio to record. they say that PSY and IU have the record on this show, fans showed up for a 6hr recording and got a 12hr concert.

What Gwen said though, "When we mimic sound we go the easiest route, and having a good technique is hardly ever the easiest route." This resonates so much with me because all this time I thought I was singing okay because I hit the notes fairly on point and the sound came out so close to the original artist's version. Recently I have started taking vocal lessons and the coaches are like "This will be hard to take but if you keep singing like that you might lose your voice in the future," which is true because when I was 18 I sounded a lot better and now 7 years later I struggle to support even an Eb4 properly (for a Tenor it's not that high). I also think it has to do with your audience liking a certain way of singing that it somehow reinforce you to keep singing that particular way, not knowing it may be damaging in the long run. Moral of the story is that it might be better to seek professional assistance when you don't know what you're doing. Sorry for the long comment, I just had to get it out there because I've seen a lot of singers regressing throughout the years of their career which is really saddening.

I don't know if it would be appropriate for the series or not, but I'd like to suggest checking out f(x)'s Luna and her twin sister (Park Jinyoung) performing a duet on Immortal Songs 2 (a song that's dedicated to their dad and arranged by their brother). Its really interesting because the girls are identical twins who both went into music, but Luna is an idol and her sister does classical, so they're similar but also clearly different!

Kpop is a subjective term. Sohyang is a Korean vocalist who is also quite popular in Korea. What is popular or not is always changing, too. This channel focuses on Korean music that has become popular in some way, shape, or form. Sohyang has indeed become quite popular for her performances on Immortal Songs 2 and King of Masked Singers, and she is Korean and performing in Korea. Why would this not fit the channel's description? Also, she is practically a virtuoso of vocal technique, and the channel vocalists deserve to react to her.

A few weeks after Ailee debut, she was immediately cast as permanent member of Immortal Song 2. She did a lot of legendary cover with her own style. At that time, Jay Park and Ailee are really famous with their ability to change any legendary song into their own style.

I know you're getting tons of requests rn, but I think that Kim Sohyang (Arirang Alone, O Holy Night, Lean on Me, and Bridge Over Troubled Water are the best performances by her I think) and Kyuhyun from super junior (Masquerade is his best omg it's so good) would be really good vocalists to show her. Also, if it isn't too much to ask, I would love to see them react to Yoon MinSoo and Shin YoungJae's live cover of Fate by Lee SunHee! A lot of what they're saying in this video is very true. I love singing and I do it pretty much every day, but because I've never learned the proper way of singing, my vocal chords are not what they used to be and my throat is very sensitive to cold air and such. I'm trying to teach myself through youtube because singing lessons are expensive, but it's really difficult. Don't ruin your voices people!
