1. Be clean --- consistently, not once a week 2. Listen to your wife's concerns --- don't just dismiss her as nagging 3. Compliment your wife and thank her for what she does --- show her that you notice her and are grateful for what she does 4. Make the special occasions special --- surprise her and make her feel special on Anniversaries, Valentines day, etc 5. Be kind to her family --- she loves her family, so you should put in a lot of effort to build a good relationship with them

Abby, as a single Christian man in my twenties, I studied people, read books on topic of marriage and relationships and attending seminars about this topic at my church, I gotta say I appreciate how thorough and articulate you are about in this video. I have always been a family man. Quality time is important to me. And the last point you made was very helpful. Keep up the good work.

Awesome video! One caveat: I’ve found that it’s important to realize that happiness is not the responsibility of your spouse to create. Happiness can be a choice, more of an attitude. Now, if you place too much stock in your spouse as the soul source of your personal happiness, you might find that things get disappointing quick. In short, make sure your oxygen mask is on first before helping others with theirs.

Helpful video! Very simple, straightforward, and nice. 1. Clean up after yourself a. Keep track of belongings b. Avoid creating messes 2. Listening to your wife's concerns without immediately arguing with them a. Aim for specific heckling b. Determine the impact of the concern c. Try doing what she has in mind immediately when she has raises the concern i. How does she want that done and why? ii. What does it mean to her if it is done in that way? d. Create a habit around how to correct it i. Create a reward system: GIVE YOURSELF A REWARD FOR DOING CORRECTLY e. Determine threshold for communication channels i. Assume that the person has their best interest in you ii. Know trigger points 1) If they use a trigger, know specifically, "Why would want to do that? What was the purpose?" iii. Avoid triggers 1) Repair triggers f. Never let your wife nag unnecessarily g. She wants to solve the problem HOWEVER it must be something outside of her or most likely relationships. She most likely would prefer you never interfere with her drama with Becky from accounting. 3. Randomly give your wife compliments: say something out loud a. Keep up your wife's morale i. Memory retention - The further it is from when you said, the less likely they are to remember. She needs to know the compliments in her short-term, mid-term, and long-term memory. b. Constantly flirt with your wife 4. Make special occasions special a. Environment i. Furniture 1) Colors & feel ii. Decorations iii. Smells iv. Music v. Lighting b. Gift i. Meaning ii. Value iii. Long lasting gifts iv. Size c. Food d. Celebrations i. Words ii. Actions 5. Be kind and get along with your in-laws a. Siblings b. Parents c. Let the disagreement go

Cleanliness: Check. Put the dishes in the sink? No! Never leave dishes in the sink! Dishwasher? Lazy! Wife is the one cleaning? In what world? Don’t get my “hackles” up: No check there. I try to be patient and listen, but I almost always become angry. How do you men do that? It seems she is trying to make me angry. Random compliments: Check. I do it, but I guess I don’t do it enough, because she does not hear me. I talked about how I liked the food she made yesterday, and she complained today that I did not tell her that I enjoyed the food. Give her things to brag about: Check. Well, I do my best. Right now I’m sitting in the car on a hill. I could see the house from here, but now it’s dark and I can’t see it anymore. I better get back. I wonder if I’ll be able to get in. I DO ALL I CAN. I was never a good husband. HELP!

"It doesn't take any time..." INCORRECT It takes a small amount of time, and that can require a decision between doing the cleaner thing or address another immediate concern (Read: kids). This is definitely my baggage, but its annoying to be accused of "not caring" about the mess when you already feel like you can't keep up with the concerns you are addressing.

Dear men, cleaning is useless when you can’t protect and provide for your family. So work out, make money, learn to fight, and master leadership skills. Gifts and compliments so your wife can brag to her friends is narcissistically toxic. Lastly, respect is earned. Stand firm on your principles and not your emotions.

@@sebawaleed3148 it really isn't?? I'm not even a conservative and I share like none of her views, but if you find that offensive you're the definition of a snowflake. it's the same thing as saying "how to be a better artist" or "how to be a better friend". Just trying to help someone make their spouse's day a bit better. Is learning to show someone that you love them and care for them by doing little favors offensive or something? And drop that "telling them to not be themselves" bullshit, shes not making anyone do anything, just giving some ideas from a women's pov. Tf are you guys on?? @@vanessat7758 Lmao one of the first things she says is for men to Help women with the chores, which implies chores are typically a woman's job. Her whole schtick is "Classic Conservatism", so to say this sounds like a vid from the 60's isn't that much of a stretch lol. The whole idea of conservatism is to keep things the same or go back to how they were previously.
@vanessat7758

@@dp3of5 Yeah, if you look around you, women ARE the ones who traditionally do more chores in the house than men. She's not saying ONLY women should do it. It would be sexist to say that men should not do chores and women should instead, but she isn't saying that. If you're a man, you're clearly one of those simps. And it doesn't feel like something from the 60s because things were actually sexist, nothing like what you see in this video. Oh, and by the way, conservatism is made up of economic and social policies.

#1 those are chores. You'll learn allowance and creating responsibilities one day when you grow up. 😉 #2 what are you REALLY talking about... Rebuttals up and down. Probably using you in a narcissistic manner. #3... Listen here. Look in the mirror so it for your own well being not mine. It's be happy not forced yourself to be. #4 there has to be a ground to stand on before you go setting your goals for a birthday. If it's already an argument about little shit there can't be and is no footing. Will end in drama, it's what they crave is power. Usually is obtained in a sick or crude way. Johnny Depp case is one to show you. #5 family is the forced end. Usually great with grand parents but it's the divorced mom or dad's step version 90% of the time a sheetstain. There is the 10% that your mom or dad don't like because you get along great with them. Buuuuut, Most the time against you and you have to be quiet a shill or lie to be there. This is not natural to spread your ideologies as a truth. 😬 Narrative; Bend over, because it's what yo(we)u'll do now.
