Baseball was literally at the top of its game in 1977. It seems so fake today. Miss these times so much.

It mattered then. Today, it's nonsense.

I miss the days when interleague play happened only in spring training, the All-Star Game, and the World Series. I miss the days when the American and National Leagues each had their own style of play.

They were also the days when there were daytime WS and playoff games.

His performance is even more respected because home games were on grass v. Brett's .390 on artificial turf & Gwynn's .394 against diluted pitching with expansion. Unfortunately Carew's .388 is barely remembered, but must be considered the closest to William's .401.

New subscriber & absolutely love ur channel. Appreciate the hard work putting it together. TWIB was a big part of my feelings toward ⚾ growing up. Being in Detroit, it was a way to see highlights of all my favs in the NL & on the west coast of AL. Waited for TWIB all week long. Lol I look forward to watching the rest of ur channel 👍

People don’t realize that the day of the 1971 All Star Game was very windy and contributed to the power surge in the game. I know this because I was a kid living in suburban Detroit at the time.

The uniforms were colorful then, very nice, now they try to bring back some color to the unis. and they look terrible, leave them road grays n home whites.
