Since you put up the money and/or obtained the financing for it, the money flows to you, first, then gets distributed out to everyone else thereafter. It's an extraordinarily low risk for them to add an entirely additional asset to their leasing portfolio, and you maintain control of the asset but do not run any of the day to day.
