That hardflip has always been special to me. It's the only way I've ever been able to do them on flat. People say that's the way little kids and short people do them.

In 80s and 90s started that thinking of being effective in alö aspects of life. People started to try to be effective but they lost all other aspects of life. Even in modern skateboarding you need to be effective and be machine as quickly as possible. It wasnt like that before

I've done my fair share of deep diving into "vintage" skate vids and if you watch any other parts from 1992 you'll see Daewon has literally always been ahead no matter what year it is

I'm 30 now but at 12 I made sure I watch Daewons in Lovechild, Almost 3 & Skatemore atleast once a day; EVERYday. Also two things: One even tho Noone was doing tre nose Manny combos like Won, in 94 Jason Lee still had the BEST tre. And two: Not quite as much tranny & def not vert but as far at street skating is concerned in 94 NOONE could do mad tech complex lines THIS long- Short of Rodney but he kinda doesn't count. Love late 80s early 90s, the extreme bowl to street progression, and Natas, Tony, DEF to early 90s Lee, Gonz, etc but imo THIS vid is when street was elevated. Nowadays street is elevated in people wanting fat rails, and high gaps/sets. Mid 90s until last few years, short of a few pros the game used to be more about tech & combos and originality which is really all style is.... I miss that.
