I was already familiar with Cybertron when I 1st watched this DVD, because I used to watch Cybertron on Cartoon Network every morning. The DVD introduced me to Energon & Armada.

I used to have these two Optimus Prime and Megatron figures, I immediately lost the smokestacks on Optimus and Megatron’s arms and the cannon on his right arm and his legs were hard to reattach, I got this pack from a Ross store.

I agree with you Bert. As a transformer he's not the best but as a G1 Optimus Prime action figure he does the job really good.

Bahaha ok I've owned this figure (along with the Megatron and the DVD) since I was 8, having gotten then new back in 2006. All these years I never new you could lock the upper body gimmick. The more you know!

Yep, great in robot mode, but that truck mode is laughable, well, it would be if it weren't so horridly executed. I gave the Megatron away and eliminated the doofy spin gimmick from Optimus. I actually had/have plans to build a Constructicon Long Haul from this Optimus, to go with the Generations release of the Energon Devastator set. I have his transformation and look worked out for both truck and bot modes, though he wouldn't combine, unfortunately. However, since the CW Devastator came out, I doubt that I'll bother with the idea, at least for quite awhile. So, for now at least, Prime lives on, (in robot mode anyway).
