this is why they are called the raiders legends. i was born and raised in oakland no one knew where oakland was only san francisco was renowned back in 1960. but as the raiders got better and played kick your ass football. then people knew where oakland was. THE CITY THAT HAS THE OAKLAND RAIDERS. the raiders put oakland on the map. THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE OAKLAND RAIDERS.

I really miss the golden voice of Bill King in so many ways the ‘The Golden Voice of Oakland.’
Playing on artificial turf during those years was like playing on cement.

The Steelers had an unfair advantage in the AFC Championship Game, the ice rink of a field
@jonburrows86023 жыл бұрын
Yes, they left the field uncovered to slow down the faster Raiders. Like the Dolphins did to the Jets in the 1982 AFC Championship.

The Steelers didn't attempt orchestrating no advantage based upon illicit practices by their field maintenance crew ,the Steelers wr's group actually avg a superior yds per catch avg then the raiders celebrated group ,thus the ice field inclement weather obstacles created just as much difficulty for the Steelers as the raiders ,the Steelers would have literally cut their nose off to spite their face by sabotaging the field ,negatively impacted their own wr's . The raiders were a formidable rushing team with Mark Van Eeghen leading their charge ,thus they were a multifaceted offensive machine , fully capable of adopting to difficult game circumstances, remember Pittsburgh didn't exactly have a superb day running the ball ,so any percieved advantage aiding Pittsburgh wasn't because of unfavorable field conditions. The Steelers were simply the better team in 75 between the two excellent ball clubs . The hypocrisy of any raider or their fanbase bellowing unfounded accusations of foul play by the Steelers for deploying foul strategy by having their field maintenance leave areas of the field uncovered ,when the raiders have been accused by many a opponent " Hank Stram" for tampering with the raiders home playing field by watering it down , and being a proud loyal follower of the mantra ,if your not cheating your not trying to win ,just win baby slogan . No team in NFL history has ever embraced being a defiant entity ,fully intended upon obtaining any psychologically advantage over opposition,even by openly bragging about their penchant to bend the rules .My respect towards the raiders emmense contributions to the AFL NFL , on the field and off has never wavered , the AFL, NFL story cannot be written or spoken without the raiders rich legacy being amongst the top echeleon recited , nevertheless,the only reason the raiders lost the 75 conference championship was because Pittsburgh was better .

@jonburrows8602 Pittsburgh but a tarp om the field. A half a tarp. They left the sidelines uncovered to stop Cliff Branch. He used to kill Mel Blount. It worked. Branch only had 1 catch and the Raiders lost
