You sound like a dictatorship in some military junta. What happened to free speech and expression? Why can't people express their opinions? People's feelings don't override our right to free speech. Stop pushing the woke agenda. It's polluting society.

They look a fun group and - in the original meaning of gay - carefree, cheerful, bright and showy, seem to fulfill both the modern and original meanings. More power to them, and complements to you for showcasing such a group - it says a lot that both of you, and your channel, had the decency to treat a "different" group respectfully. 10/10.

I'd like to know what homosexuality has to do with classic cars? Why mention it? I don't turn up at classic car shows with banners saying I'm a communist or a satanist.

As a gay man myself, I think it's sad that sometimes we still have to have our own separate "safe places" away from those that are prejudiced against us. What the hell does my private life have to do with anyone else but me? Personally I loved the Landcrab. Great old thing.
@solsol16242 жыл бұрын
I just subscribed here after seeing a great video about 'my' car merc w123 so was going to say love the Trabant. Your post is very nuanced, think I agree unless I missed something. Think it's very woke if not needed and very sad if it is. Far more interested in your car or bike, or music taste than anything else.

I'm coming at this from a slightly different angle. I think the gay community often gets lumbered with stereotypes (and I've had this said to me) that you can't like cars, you're gay! Almost as though we all have to be running around screaming 'yas queen' and moonlighting as drag artists as our sole purpose. This may be an unpopular opinion but being gay often isnt about the sexual aspect. I am a normal (normal is the wrong word but meant as 'average joe' in this context) guy who just happens to be romantically attracted to men rather than ladies. I still enjoy all the same hobbies that many other men do. It's really nice to see this video as clearly it is showing others are very much the same. Well done guys.

Something like this would go down a treat here in NZ. Yup I’m a bent farmer, partnered for donkies and both of us are car nuts. While NZ has moved on from any real discrimination years ago, it’s still a wee bit uncomfortable at some events to go to as partners. I tried our local classic car group but man are they stuck in the 60’s, not only in their cars but also in relationship views lol

I sort of understand the desire to separate away but I'd also like to think the car scene in general is inclusive enough to all. Good video, thanks.

It is inclusive to all, because very few - if anyone - actually cares which way you swing. 2022 and all that. The Wolseley Six for me please.

My favourite is the Wolseley landcrab. I owned a 1973 Six as a university student for about 6 months in the late 80s. It was completely shot to pieces. I bought it with 6 months MOT for 45 pounds and sold it 6 months later with no MOT as a banger racer for 50 pounds!

Well done to everyone that participated in this event especially to Lancaster for their support and joe who filmed the whole event. It great to see the positive comments but also to point out that each and everyone have choices and freedom of choices, personally I am a member of the GCCG but also Midlands MR2 club both are fantastic clubs to be part of. I mix with both straight and the LGBT scene I don’t stereotype, it’s what you put into life is what you get out of it, I have had such a laugh and have had the best times in my life with both clubs and personally helped me through a very difficult time with I’ll health over the last 2 years. A big thank you to all the members of the GCCG who work tirelessly for the club and bring so much pleasure to car enthusiasts and also to the Midlands MR2 club for all their hard work and fun times, bringing together like minded people whether gay lesbians transgender or straight.

Been a proud member of the GCCG for a few years now & I can say it's the best club I've ever been a part of. I'm a younger man & there's no age bias, everyone's welcome. I know that a few people are going to say that it's a gay safe space but actually we have a number of straight members too. One member changed membership from the MG owners club to the GCCG because he felt more welcome in our club so even though we are called the Gay Classic Car Group, everybody from all walks of life are welcome

Why do you have to even bring your sex life into it? I'm sick and tired of people like you playing the victim and wanting the spotlight on you rather than the event. It's about cars not your sexual preference.

What a fun group, and how great of you to spotlight them. I’m also a member of the LGBT group, and I happen to love classic cars, though having just driven a Trabant in Berlin I can honestly say that it was the scariest drive of my entire life. The transmission is a mystery, the suspension is pre-historic, and driving 30 mph felt entirely too fast. But, I will never forget that experience
