I was watching and said “Wow, that guy looks just like Rex Reed! Lol.

You people are nuts! Rex Reed is one of the nicest celebrities I ever met. He is down to earth, witty, and he has always been very encouraging to young talent. His bitchy persona is just that.

Encouraging young talent? Calling Melissa McCarthy insanely fat has NOTHING to do with her comedic talent as an actress. He's nothing but an old bitchy queen.

Good Song. ! I used to have an extensive record collection and although I never heard this I can tell you there are lots of songs & Artists from , rockabilly, blues , well America circa 50s to early 60s that never made icon status but are very good

Rex Reed has always been right on with his reviews. He's the one film critic I trust 100%.

This is the guy who maxed out idiocy by telling factual errors in his reviews? Nice

Then YOU must not go to movies very often if you use Rex's reviews for a guide.

Another great episode of classic TTTT with Bud Colyer hosting and Johnny Olsen announcing. Thanks for sharing with us and reminding us how good Game Show Network used to be.

2:22-funny she calls Rex "bobcat", Bobcat Goldthwait would do stand-up bits on Rex Reed's intense hatred of him and his movies---"You'd think I'd burned his Diana Ross albums or something"

Having lived for a time in a rural (still culturally Southern) part of FL, I knew which man was it right off, in part because he was the only one with the proper accent. I guess to the pannel probably all Southern accents sound alike.

Hmmm. Rex Reed look like he could be Adam Lambert's twin

That's great, eh! After I wrote my earlier post I was pleased to find a recent interview with Orson online, and a bunch of his funny, dirty jokes he tells in a series of short KZbin videos. He says his son in law persuaded him to record some of his fave jokes and put them on YT, many of them probably a bit too baudy for the Tonight Show of the '70s! Orson forever!

Yes Rex was and maybe still is an interesting movie critic and entertainment writer whose best years were in the 70's . He sort of lost out to Siskel and Ebert by not expanding his schtick ! I never cared for the way he bashed RockNRoll although Rex could surprise film fans like with positive reviews of the Exorcist and Clockwork Orange . Anyway if I am not mistaken Jimmy Walker was a huge influence on John Fogerty.

"ASS," I meant Rex Reed was a pompous ass!! (not "add" as I mistakenly wrote!) Sadly, I guess I'm an ass as well, if I cannot spell. ;)

I wonder what year this was taped, cause Rex was born in 1938, he looks like he just came out of high school...LOL!

Sorry, I said "he" meaning it was sad that Rex Reed was on the Gong Show. Paul Lynde was on Hollywood Squares for years and he was FANTASTIC. I remember watching him when I was young. He had a sarcastic sense of humor, but he was also self-deprecating. Rex Reed was just a pompous add when I vaguely remember seeing him in the 1970's. He was never able to make it as an actor, I guess. Now-a-days all he does is insult young actors/actresses since he never made it himself when he was their age.
