Thank you for this edition of To Tell the Truth. In the third game, I kept looking at #2 and thought that she might have the Brando resemblance, but, then, something told me that #1 was the one, as she looked like Joycelyn (older sister). BTW, #3 in the third game did look a little like sister Ava Gardner with the cat eyes (so beautiful, as was her famous sibling).

In game #2 when all three were standing at the beginning you could tell the real Ms Rand had the best figure although she was covered up. they tried to doll up the first lady , a former Ziegfeld girl to fool somebody. In gamei # 3 Brando sister didn't seem to know lot of stuff , probably because she lived the quiet life on that farm . Also in game 3, Ava Gardner sister was probably the older one who lived as a housewife in Winston Salem NC who did not really let anyone outside of close friends her relationship .

What a shame that the panel didn't get to talk a bit with the great Sally Rand...a missed opportunity.....But, in this appearance, Miss Rand seemed a bit under-the-weather....didn't seem quite 'with-it' have seen her in other appearances in this time frame, and in those---she was as sharp as a tack, and quite LIvely....her Fan Dance Act, and Bubble performance...seen on film...were really awesome and so seductively erotic. An Uncle once saw her at the World's Fair...and quite bluntly----said that every guy in the audience was 'stiff' with a smile....and that she was a real 'Dish' of a Woman......

mh K I thought Carl Reiner's explanation of why he voted for #1 in Game 3 (22:15) was perfect -- clearly thought out, logical, and I totally agreed with him about #2 seeming "too well prepared" and #3 not prepared enough. This is really the first time in the episodes I've been watching chronologically on this channel that I have heard any panelist give such a logical explanation for a choice. This also happens to be one of the few times that my own instincts about who the real one was proved correct. :)

I wonder if any of the panelists, besides Carl Reiner, might have subconsciously recognized Sally Rand from her appearance on _What's My Line?_ 5 years earlier (kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6XVi2Z8Zd2br6M&t=17m33s). Then again, *_I_* certainly didn't recognize her when I first watched this TTTT episode, and I'd seen the WML episode much more recently than that! Also, I just just re-watched that WML episode, and it seems to me that Sally had aged a lot in those 5 years, so she might not have been so easy to recognize, especially since the two impostors kind of resembled her.

Agree. When I was in grade school in the 60s Ohio was considered the Midwest. Agree it is an archaic thought pattern, because at one point even Missouri was considered "west". -- the country kept expanding.
