You have been reppin for Scotia for 20 years, making us proud of having the best and most consistent MC in the country. If you are doubting your love and drive for Hip Hop, write it a "love song" or just take it back to the "Maritimes" for a part 2. When ever you make a song about what you are passionate about it comes through...trust in that.

Song ends at 4:20 :). Another great track. I heard Classified on CBC introducing 'Powerless'. It gave me Goosebumps. I haven't lived home for a decade now, but when people ask me 'where are you from', I still reply "Nova Scotia". The fact that Classified's music always makes you think, is about an important topic, is speaking for those who need a voice, makes me so proud to have him representing the East Coast. Great track

Damn Classy, I'm listening to this for the 2nd time in a row now and it's like you're saying what's on my mind lately...I don't do drugs or anything other than having some beers by myself every couple weeks while I jam out...well I'm drinking and jamming out tonight to this and I'm feeling this song big time...I use to worry bout what people thought and said bout me but now I worry about my son that'll be 10 next month more than anything...and there's an epidemic with young people in my aboriginal community alone the last year or so with drugs and shit where we lost too many than there should have been in a short period of time...your new album is something different than we're use to from you, but it's definitely what we needed to hear given the current circumstances...ty for the music and message this album is giving...I know I'll be listening to it often to get me through some rough times here, and I'll definitely pass it along to our Aboriginal Men's Group in my community to share with everyone... ☺

I don't usually go publicly with depressive stuff, BUT.... Ive dealt with depression for years. The town I live in I watch atleast 3-5 friends die every year, some close some are just people that you wish you spent more time or did more for before they passed. Ive dealt with drug problems and gotten clean again. Everyday I wake up I feel the world fighting me at every turn. Ive thought of taking my life a few times before. Ive also accomplished so much, 18 years and somewhat successful dj (that I've now givin up on), I've worked my ass off everyday so I can be proud of the things ive earned in this life. Ive givin up so much to my depression, Although I can honestly say Classified has been one of the few things that makes me feel like the fight is worth it. Hes the last standing rapper that keeps it real, keeps hope and inspiration alive. Class if you ever end up reading this, I just want to say thank you, never let the lights dim and I hope when you feel the way you spoke in this song remember how many peoples lights you have kept burning through your mind and art. I've been listening to your music since I was only able to get bootleg cassette tapes (bringin, bringin information), 'cause I feel like I'm taking the journey with you when I listen to your songs. When I go through the thousands of hand-picked songs I've compiled on my phone (memory card) over the past 20+ years, I have more songs by you than any other artist (55 songs). You've helped me through many hard times with your music, and I really hope I get to hear many new jams from you for many years to come. Thank you Luke.

This song really affected me because (a) I've followed your career since "Trial & Error", and (b) I'm about the same age as you, could have had a rap career but didn't go for it b/c I had a great plan B and music biz is too risky. I've always regarded your life as what mine might have turned out as if I'd went all in on Rap. But now that I've passed 40 I'm not nearly as hard core about it any more, and the importance of music, or getting recognized etc. has all faded and diminished EXTREMELY - I just don't care about it that much any more; have other priorities. Sounds like the same thing has happened to you. I remember tripping out in my back yard to your song "Fall from Paradise" back in the day, celebrating alongside you how far you'd come in music, and living vicariously through your lyrics. So I find it rather ominous and telling that you reference "Fall from Paradise" in this song. In the end I have mixed feelings about this song: I feel sad for you that you're feeling this way; but at the same time, it is a relief to know that I'm on the only one who "grew out of this" and that I'd feel the same way even if I had 10+ albums under my belt at this stage. I'm still making music - but I don't care about making $$$ from it and I write what I believe in regardless of how popular it is. I hope you keep doing what you're doing, even if you don't feel it so much any more. Just know: there ARE people out there who care about your music a LOT, for whom it has had a great impact. I will be sad on the day you hang up the mic.

fuck man, i am a full grown man, 38years old and sittin here with tears in my eyes listening to those lyrics - not because they are special in general but because they are special for you and your story of success - seeing all the mainstream-hiphoppers getting famous with there stupid, violent and ugly songs must be frustrating... as beeing from germany i decided to go on a mission and just wrote nice little letters with a link to this video to quite a few german radio stations. If Eminem made it big here in germany, you should be able to get even bigger here... at least thats what i hope and what i think you have long deserved: Getting the attention that you earned with your 20 years of "true" music and lyrics....
