Thank you so much for this. I got a last-minute teaching job and literally have had a week to prepare my classroom, plan, and get ready for the year to begin. As a first-year teacher, this is a life saver!!!

Thanks so much for creating this resource! I am student teaching in the fall and was struggling to create a classroom management plan. This broke down the components for me clearly and I can pause and read your examples for inspiration. I'm glad you include Positive Consequences too. Teachers should plan for what to do in the case of student success, not just student misbehavior. Great work!

Thanks for sharing this video! I really like your easy steps. I love how positive it is with smiles, handshakes and little notes for the kids. I always find mine like the little things the most - nothing beats a thumbs up or a smile! We just made our own video about behaviour management on our channel. We are new to the KZbin teacher world so trying to learn as much as possible right now! Any tips for starting up? Thanks! Katie :)

What advice would you (or anyone on here) have for a student teacher? I'm in my 3rd year, and currently going through an internship where I have to teach several classes. Today, I had my first experience with a 4th grade class that is notorious for behaving horribly towards each other, and even towards the teachers. Even their class teacher can't "control" them. I had this class today for music, and I spent most of the class either standing around waiting for them to be quiet (with my hand up in the air), or trying to get their attention. I even tried speaking with some of the students individually, and I spoke with them at the end of the class, pushing in to their lunch break. I have this class twice a week, and will only be with them for a total of 5 weeks. You mentioned that it can take months to teach better behaviour, but what about for those of us who only have them for a month or so? Would love any and all advice for any seasoned teachers.

In Canadian schools all students use a preordered agenda which the student write homework in before the teacher dismiss them.

Love this video! Thanks so much! Do you have an example copy or tpt item for that "minute by minute" document you showed? I would love to see that. I'm a student for now but I love the amount of organization you have in your planning and I'd love to do that too!
