Keaton, you’re a unicorn! Us male teachers are hard to find at the elementary level but when there is one or two, people do look twice. You’re in an important and crucial position to spark a different perspective on learning so take full advantage of it. I’m in my 8th year and love it. Feel free to reach out any time.

Number corner is great to use for calendar. You are lucky that all those things came with your room. I know you are excited about your recess cart but how are kids going to take stuff out to play with it. Are they going to pull out the whole DRawer?
@inspiringedventures12873 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am planning on labeling all the drawers on the recess cart and just having them pull the drawers out. I tried not to fill them super full so that my students will be able to fit everything back in the drawer and be able to put the drawer back on the cart :)

I’m so glad you had your friend to help you reorganize that was a lot of work for you to do! It looks great! Are the books labeled so the kids/ you know what bins they go back into? The classroom is nice and big! I had my daughter remote last year because her classroom was half the size of yours with 28 kids in her class!! No way to socially distance with COVID-19! I hope you have a wonderful year!

Hello. I love your organization and admire all of your hard work. I teach first grade in Los Angeles so I know how hard it is to teach. Don't feel like you have to keep all of the stuff you inherit from teachers. Also, don''t spend too much of your money (I did all of that when I first began and now I know better). My advice is, since you're just beginning, especially for the first year, get to know your style of teaching and what you need and what you don't. I still spend money every summer, especially at Target, for my classroom. But I have a better idea now of stuff that I need and things i don't. Good luck this year!

Great advice. However I think it’s good to invest in storage items and things you can use for a few years.

You are absolutely amazing. What stores do you usually do your grocery shopping at? Do you ever stock up on anything like soda or water? Can you possibly do some in store grocery shopping videos? It would be awesome if you could show how you do your full shopping trip

Hi ...I am a veteran teacher (21st year coming up). I love watching videos from new teachers with all of their fresh and fun ideas. Your room looks fantastic so far. Can't wait to see the final product! Would you be able to tell me the name of the connecting cubes storage box and the little clear boxes you were pouring other math manipulatives into? They look perfect for what I am trying to accomplish this year! Best of luck on your first year in the classroom. P.S. You are going to LOVE first grade. They are more independent than Kinder but still love their teacher...and they growth you see throughout the year is the most rewarding!

Hi, thank you for all the love! I bought majority of my containers from the container store. Here is a link to both items!
