If you’re doing social studies, that long black bulletin board could be a timeline of big events you cover?

Your new school is fortunate to have you. A former student wanting to come in and help you is proof you're an excellent teacher and wonderful person, who makes an impact. And what a supportive husband! You're going to have a great year!

Hi! I think you should forgo the third layer of border for the one area of the room you were wondering about. I also second the timeline idea for the area above ur chalkboard. Have a great year!

I was totally giggling at the beeping- I’d be freaking out too! Glad you met someone nice in the mist of that! Love how everything is turning out. I agree- the borders and decor right now are cute, but very common. I’m also pulling from what I have - oldies but goodies! I love that light color on your big bulletin board.

You could use that long black piece for the timeline of events that you are studying like the others said but you could also use that for a "fun" space.. A place to decorate for holidays..I could see hearts all across it..or Christmas cut outs..Fall themed or Spring themed. The kids would love the color!

An idea for the skinny board in the front: printing out colored copies of book covers of books you'll be reading or your favorites - it will be a nice pop of colors and will peek your student's interest to check out the books you display. Another idea can be creating a mosaic piece using the colored paper you bought from Hobby Lobby and add your one word like you have in your other classroom. Loved your video!! Thanks for always sharing your ideas and life with us. 🙂 Wishing you a wonderful school year!

As a prek teacher I would put pics of my kids in that space. But I was thinking either a timeline of some sort or an incentive board where kids fill out a printable of chapter books they read and you staple it up there. When it’s full the class gets an incentive. Another thing is just a bulletin board of different genres.
