Awww…I saw A Bad Case of Stripes in your book display…my oldest daughter, who is now 22, would borrow that book from her preschool every Friday and I would read it to her over and over and over. What a sweet memory. 😊 Edit to add: That striped dress is so freaking cute. 💕

I used nearpod last year with my second graders. I was fully remote all year. I used a lot of their premise phonics lessons which were great because I was able to see their work as they were doing it. I’m looking forward to using it again this year now that the kids are in person it will be easier to help,them with technical issues when they pop up. You’re room is looking great you’ve put a lot of work into it.

You could put your influential people posters in U area where your classroom door is, in the open area at the top of all the walls.

Print your sound wall in black in white to display, then as you teach a skill you can put the colored version over it!

I will always remember that early morning every Monday is your new video update. I love the tropical vibes you put in that counter near your "fridge", kim. It adds a "homey" feels also to have all those indigenous baskets in your wall. My cousin here in the Philippines is making indigenous baskets and plates out of coconut sticks. I had a some of those Target labels did that too!! I had 3-4 packs in my drawer from years past and pulled them out to use this year. Some in the pack were fine, others were wrinkled and I just had to throw them out :(

I do the daily 5 model for stations sort of. I have meet with teacher for guided reading, word work station, read with animal or a listening station, sight word station, or a computer station. The kids do 4 stations a day during intervention ti me.

If you took half of the book buddies out, half way through the year, you could switch them out.

Turn your door poster over, and tape on the back. Then remove tape from the front. Finally, laminate.

Your room is looking great. I started school on August 12th. I transitioned from teaching 8th grade regular education Math to teaching 3rd-5th grade Soecial Education (inclusion/resource). It’s a huge change but I’m up for it. I have taught 5-8 grades regular education Math, Science and History, departmentalized that is lol

For your door, it would be cool if in the speech bubbles you had questions that went with what you are learning at that time and changed them out throughout the year. (E.g. what do 2nd graders learn?, what is place value?, how can I better my reading comprehension?, etc….)

Random question, is there a reason or method for why you put :60 on your clock instead of :00? I’m not a teacher, but have been addicted to classroom setup videos this past month or so.

Oooh honestly I hadn't even thought about it! I used a coworker's clock labels as an example so I'll have to ask her. In the meantime, I added an option to my TPT product to have :00 instead of :60. Thank you for pointing that out!
