Not autistic. Acoustics. The word describes how sound resonates in a room. Choirs like singing in old churches with vaulted ceilings because the sound bounces off the walls creating a haunting sound. That sound is the church's "acoustics". Magnolia was using the word as a euphemism for the room being a great place to have casual sex (she makes noise during sex, and prefers to do so in a room with good acoustics). He is a really tragic character first he works for vault tech for god knows how many years. Gets denied access into the vault doesn't even know about the experiments then becomes horribly disfigured and becomes a ghoul. Struggles to survive in a post war world for 210 years before he meets a ghost from his past and hopefully will finally get the happy ending he's been working 210+ years to get.

Just the way the vault tech reps eyes light up when you tell him to head to sanctuary, and that you promise to visit him. You can tell he hasn't had that kind of hope or excitement in over 200+ years. He knew you for a few minutes, but you brought back what he never thought he would ever experience again. A home, a place he feels he belongs and contribute to. I can't see how anyone would turn him away. He saved your life, he made sure you got a vault space. He knew the end was coming, but he didn't know what they planned to do you and your family. He saved your life it's only right to return the favor.

if anything this guy seems like the perfect option for a ghoul companion. I mean, you have history with this character, he could share stories about vault tec, and he could have been used as a character to help you explore the other vaults, maybe even react to the things that happened in them. I mean it writes itself; He starts thinking about all the other vaults, wants to see what other horrors he might have subjected people he has sold vault spaces to, and wants to explore them. That would be a very interesting story to explore. The Ghoul that sold people dreams, which turned into nightmares.

Their deaths were an accident because the pods malfunctioned and their life support programs stopped working, but Vault-Tec wasn't keeping him out of the Vault to save him. Vault-Tec are an evil organization and so were most of the people working for them that *really* knew why the Vaults were made, which was to experiment on the occupants. The Guard was just as clueless to Vault-Tec's intentions as the Rep was.

This guy has never had anything good happen to him in generations and then the protagonist comes in and as soon as they offer him the opportunity of a lifetime he is taken aback and filled with hope because the protagonist was the only person in the commonwealth to help him and bring him a new reason to live. The reaction he gives is rather appropriate.

I like to send the Vault Tec guy to Vault 88 when I get it up and running. It's a nice, secure place and a good settlement to house all your tier 4 vendors. Ironically, not getting into the vault probably saved his life. I'm not sure he would be grateful for that though. If they stuck him in one of the pods, he'd be dead now, like all the rest. If they had him on staff, he probably would have died with the others when they tried to mutinee against the Overseer and escape. I always felt a kinship with ghouls in FO3. I know what it's like to be an outcast because of something you never chose for yourself, so I can identify with their plight. And a lot of the ghouls you meet that aren't feral are pretty decent people, really. Gob and the people of Underworld. In FO4 I think the survivor would have an even greater kinship with pre-war ghouls. Being the only ones around who remember what the world was like before the apocalypse.

I think it would be cool if in the next Fallout game, if they ever make one that in the beginning you play as someone who was caught outside when the bombs fell and you have to experience the bombs falling for a few hours, followed by the great blackout and then have to escape from the acid rain as it finishes off what is left of the old world, we have never seen how horrible it was, it is only mentioned in passing but from the stories it was even more horrifying than the post apocalyptic world we play in.

When I found him in Goodneighbor, I knew I had to bring him to Sanctuary Hills and give him a job. He deserved to be happy, he was the reason we even survived the nuclear explosion in the first place.

Haven't played fallout 4 in years and this was such a surprise encounter to me, I remember convincing him to go to sanctuary then teleported there but he wasn't in sanctuary. I teleported back to good neighbour and he was gone and I freaked out and reloaded the save right before I met him and this time I legit followed him all the way to sanctuary where he died from many radscorpions and super mutants so I was saving every like 20 seconds, definitely worth it though if it means he gets to be happy after 200 years.

Brian Wiltshire He was probably assigned a synth component, and made hostile to the settlers. It can happen to any npc that isn't either a companion or quest related. It's a mechanic that exists to simulate synth replacement and infiltration. It should only happen while you're hostile with them. Which is before you reach the institute, and in the timeframe from when/if you become hostile with them again, up until you take out the institute base.

After waiting and waiting, he just wasn't there. I thought it was a bug. However, one day I traveled to Goodneighbor again on foot. About 20 feet outside the walls, his body lay motionless on the ground, where he had been shot and killed.
