I'd use the Gatling Laser if it didn't use Fusion Cores. There was a mod that switched the ammo to Fusion Cells on Xbox, but it's no longer available apparently.

It's kinda annoying that a set of T-60 with any of the Brotherhood paints don't count as a disguise for Rocket's Red Glare. I did one playthrough where I looted PA after Bunker Hill, and I've done a playthrough where I was playing all sides until the end so I had access to the paint jobs anyway, but none of them count as a disguise.

The only reason why I never picked any ending where I have to wipe out the BoS is solely because of Haylen and Danse (and maybe Ingram because her responses to my sarcasm are quite entertaining). After Blind Betrayal, it feels like only these two are actually humans who are capable of compassion. Funny since one of them isn’t even a human.

It's been years since I played Fallout 4 but I remember the firefight in the Prydwen being one of the best I've ever seen. Having three levels with multiple ways to get up and down forced me to keep moving to avoid being caught in a pincer. So stealth or guns blazing, it is a great quest in my book.

in my Railroad playthrough, I didn't even know that there was an actual programmed-in way to sneak your way through (or that it was glitched), but since my character was already maxed out as a stealth assassin, I ended up still accomplishing the covert method thanks to a hefty use railroad stealthboys and some properly placed sneak attacks, even got Maxson's loot this way

Or point out that I run the Minutemen too. They have lots of artillery. I have provisioners with Gatling lasers. I can call in a remote nuclear strike from a submarine. Basically I can wipe the entire airport off the map and make the rubble bounce for the next week with a single command. But instead we're going with hijacking a Vertibird and sneaking in.

I can't believe I stealthed all the way through the Prydwen. That was trippy, and nerve-racking. I was wearing the black officer's uniform. The scribe up by the gas bags just walked right by me, twice. I made sure he was far away before planting the explosives.

When I did this mission, I basically was christianed (figuratively) Brotherhood Killer. Or Brotherhood Knightmare, if you will. I would take the ammo and any holotags I could find. It's still fun to this day.

10:15 Deacon always gave me a plasma rifle. The 6 or so times I ran this ending. I always go in Guns blazing since combat is where FO4 stands apart from the other 2 3D Fallout games. One hell of a battle...

Across every Railroad playthrough I've ever done, I don't think I've ever gone the stealth route for this mission. I like Glory too much to not take the Prydwyn down the way she would've wanted: Kill everyone on board, take their leader's unique loot as my trophies, blow the bombs, and kill any Brotherhood survivors with Maxon's own gatling laser and while wearing Maxon's battlecoat myself as poetic justice.

I skipped the walk and talk. Wore Courser's armor with ballist weave. Armed with Deliverer and Pickman's blade. I was a stealth tank that made sure I was up nice and close so they could see who killed them.

I loved my Railroad play through. Even though I love the Minutemen ending more so, I find this stealth mission Red Glare to be so much fun, and its so much more rewarding then how the Minutemen deal with the Brotherhood of Steal. Sneaking on board the Prydwen and setting those explosives to blow it up, omg it was an adrenaline rush!

You can actually do a Railroad playthrough until Nuclear Option. When you teleport in do not speak to the synth. Instead kill a named npc and leave. You will fail Nuclear Option. Only problem is the synth will now be an immortal hostile during Minutemen quest but you can technically do it. Edit: I did this as I wanted to divide the wins between them. Railroad vs BOS and Minutemen vs Institute.

The railroad depends on the Sole Survivor for its basic operations, and then it thinks it can take down what is essentially the closest thing to a pre war military in the commonwealth. All the other factions rely on the player too but without the Sole Survivor, only the BoS or Institute could come out on top

Truth is it would likely be Institute. Without the player no one seems to discover where they are so it's only a question of if Institute could Destroy them. So either a stalemate or institute victory. Only thing is Railroad might exist if BOS didn't hit them. As seemingly Institute never finds them and needs you to kill them.

stop making a fool of yourself, this victory was a team effort; who was it that kept off the Brotherhood on the front end entrance so that the SS could deal with the ones on the back entrance instead of having to fight on both ends? Glory. Who was it that had the foresight and boldness to devise an ingenious plan to take out the Brotherhood with a minimum potential for casualties? Desdemona. Who was it that successfully flew a vertibird and also had a major hand in the afore-mentioned plan? Tinker Tom. And whose cunning idea is it that allows you to sneakily get inside the Prydwin, plant the boombs, and get out without anyone in the Brotherhood even knowing? Deacon. Each of them played an integral role in taking out the Brotherhood; and if you're gonna say "but the SS did all the heavy lifting", well then guess what, that's their job, that's literally why they're called a "Heavy" in the Railroad

Through my railroad character I utilized the minutemen making sure they had somewhat of a grip around key parts of the commonwealth so when I attacked the police station and the airport I popped up a flare to add some reinforcements. That way with the Railroad taking down the Institute and the brotherhood with help from the Minutemen, it’s the citizens of the commonwealth that save the day

When I did this quest, I killed Maxson with his own combat knife and when his last words were “For… honor and… glory.” I pretend my character said to him “No. Not for honor… Just for Glory.” Obviously I’m referring to Glory because the Brotherhood killed her and me killing Maxson and the Brotherhood was payback. Then I looted all of Maxson’s stuff and I pretend my character spits on his naked corpse before leaving.

I have a theory about where Danse is during all of this… I think he’s already dead in this ending. Everyone who’s played the Brotherhood ending knows that Danse turns out to be a synth and that Maxson orders the Sole Survivor to execute him (although the Sole Survivor can convince Maxson to spare him if you have high enough charisma). But without the Sole Survivor, Danse likely didn’t have anyone to save him from execution. Haylen probably went on to serve the Brotherhood out of fear and Rhys probably resented Danse for being a synth. The Sole Survivor is Danse’s only hope once he’s outed as a synth. If they were not there to stop Maxson, Danse was likely executed per Brotherhood tradition

Yeah that's just the default Minutemen ending. However logically roleplay wise it make no sense. You have to take a stand and side with one for true roleplay. If u care at least. More beneficial to have them all for Quests.

​@viogo4690 true. I believe that the Canon ending is where Glory dies but all 3 non institute factions survive. Or at least the Brotherhood and Minutemen survive. Nevertheless, if the 3 mentioned are around post main story, the quests are either against the Brotherhood or mention Glory as if she's deceased (but she appears on screen at her area.) She also doesn't respond to dialog unless it's glitchy...

I personally believe that am 'ethical' railroad playthrough is hard yet possible while a 'clean' one is not. One should first push through bos quest line without doing the problematic radiant ones until they decide to root out railroad, then do the mass fusion with institute in a self-defense manner. Do not get murder record on pip boy otherwise, and you will become legend rogue of commonwealth wasteland.

Railway rifle once upgraded is no match for anything fleshy, even leather armour is pointless against it, deathclaws heads & limbs are just torn off & pinned to anything behind them, regardless of distance which can be humorous at times, Great weapon in this game & will remain my main go-to weapon of choice against un~armoured enemys.

I've killed Deacon by accident once, and the Railroad went after my head without mercy. But, he keeps stepping right in front of my gun? There is nothing dumber than the companions. While traveling with this moron? Save every five seconds. The only ones equally just as bad as Deacon are Ada and Nick, but the game won't let you kill them easily. Major LOL!
