this is just beautiful. thank you. i decided to learn the flute in 2022 because of how gorgeous bolling's flute and piano suites are. my goal is to be able to play this in 5 years!

It's so interesting to hear this piece without drums and bass - it's a very different experience! I also loved the differences in the embellishments you chose to add.

Thank you Sean! Happy that you have enjoyed my recording - I'm so glad I even managed to record and preserve it. The embellishments were something I thought to just differentiate (without veering too far off) my recording from others' who tend to follow the written score to the tee.

Oh, my ... Letter Q? Why did I never think of that?! (Far too often, those who don't emulate Rampal end up butchering Bolling, but not you.) But look: I, too, lost my flute (a gold Miyazawa) due to another's horrendous financial mistake & haven't played since ... but we never lose who we are. I was given a (perfectly decent) non-pro Miyazawa - will get a Grenaditte head joint so I don't drag my heart over the coals because I don't have that rose gold "sing" - and my Bolling is at the top of the stack of "Play a few moments at a time because it just feels that good."
