If anyone plays trumpet, you may have heard of his trumpet practice methods books. I used those books some 30 years ago and just stumbled on to this. I was very surprised. Thanks for the upload!

I had a Benge trumpet in high school (and for some years after, although I hardly played it anymore)....and I have heard a lot about the CG model.....never bothered to find any of his performances...until now!

If I played trumpet like Claude Gordon I would give it up. All that vibrato and straight eights is so annoying. Brown,Morgan,Hubbard,Baker, to name a few. These are the fellas to emulate.

Fortunately, YOU don't ever have to worry about playing as good as Claude!

My favorites too. So they should not have studied Clarke, Arban, Schlossberg, et al because those boring old dudes didn’t play jazz?

Yeah, I was disappointed too. He played the simplest of lines with zero variation from what was on the page.
