I came here to say what I wish someone had said before purchase this camera. Do not waste your money! I'm sure they're better cameras out there. I got my camera 2 days ago I left it to fully charge like I was told but this battery last 3hrs max, it's annoying to keep removing the camera to charge it. That's my problem and I'm sure I'm not the only one with his problem.

The original video was longer and was done so you could use the camera with or without an app. Some people don't like apps, just left some wording on the cutting room floor so to speak. But thanks for watching, I have another 200+ videos that need critiqued, please watch them all. lol KZbin videos are like wrestlers, Good or Bad feedback your video gets better, nothing at all, the video just sits and fades away...

1.How far can you view the camera remotely? What if you are travelling overseas? 2. Will this work on a portable wireless internet modem? Or does it also require a router? 3. If your talking about taking the back off with the small screwdriver, you can try a nail file, but most likely need a little micro driver set.

Has an internal SD Card, you have to take it down and remove the SD card put in a PC/Mac and view the video.

@@2011arish Who do you record or how? How It records off of motion, it will just keep recording once the SD card is full it will start back at the beginning and write over itself. Who you record, well that is up to you. It is a very inexpensive spy camera straight from China, their instructions are horribly translated, but basically charge it, put in an SD card, mount it, and when you want to view the video, remove the SD card and pop it in a computer to view the footage.

No this is just a cheap camera made to be used as a stand alone device. They make some that are around 200.00 that you could do that with, this is not one. I would only recommend this to a customer if it was temporary for instance trying to catch a house keeper or nanny from pilfering your things. Thanks for watching.

I install security systems for my primary job in Myrtle Beach. I'm sure there are people out there that use hidden cameras in the wrong ways. Most of my customers that use hidden cameras are usually for people who clean their house or in many cases these are just secondary homes for people and they need to have the homes maintained or cleaned while they are away. That is the most common use. The next is people who are trying to find out if their spouse may be cheating and I have had some people with their own children stealing from them for whatever reasons. Lastly are business, a Smoke detector camera over the register not only keeps your employee from dipping into the til, but heaven forbid they are robbed, the likely hood of a criminal seeing that camera is about 0.000001% The year is 2022, unfortunately you cannot trust anyone. Oh and you cannot legally install cameras in a rental property, AirBnb, VRBO or any other type of rental. Thanks for watching and taking a moment to comment. Your mind goes strait to the gutter. Many of these get installed in businesses above cash registers, above safes and other places. My company is in Myrtle Beach and there are thousands of houses here that have house keepers or are "Summer Houses". Not people who put cameras inside of their homes and businesses are perverts... Not saying they are not out there, but hidden cameras are here to stay, getting more covert and smaller all the time. If you go to a hotel, AirBnb, VRBO, Motel, bathroom, or anywhere, you should be looking for cameras or anything that looks out of place... Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@bebe8842 Inside your home or business you can put as many cameras as you like and it is 100% legal. You cannot legally put a camera in a rental, or a place that you do not own, and inside your own home in the state of SC you do not need to tell people you are recording them. You can put cameras that are on the outside of your home that face neighbors, streets, and other peoples property, 100% legal... You Cannot aim your camera directly into the neighbors windows, but if they have a pool or something outside of their home again 100% legal.

Yes it has it's own built in wifi system, sort of like a gopro. You connect directly to the unit with your phone or tablet. So when you go to settings like you would normally do to get on the internet you will see they camera there. It is a "private" use type of camera, not really made to use over wifi like a ring or something similar. If you are wanting something that will broadcast to multiple places or people, this will probably not be the model for you to use. I sell these to customers with safes, offices, or people that may have house keepers or babysitters they are trying to keep an eye on. Thanks for watching, hope that helps you a little.

Any "camera" under $50.00 you get what you pay for. Some work for years some work for hours. They do make smoke detector cameras that are around $350.00 each from brand name companies, but most people don't want to pony up the money for a camera, they want cheap and rather complain when they break. Kind of like going to WalMart and buying an 8 channel security camera kit for 300.00 vs buying HikVision or a better company for 2000.00. Yes you saved some money up front but in the long run I'd bet the Hik outlasts and performs. Thanks for taking time to comment, the good thing about Amazon you have 30 days to try it out, if it stops working send it back. Most electronics like that fail within the first few days or they last for quite a while.

@@RagerJackOfAll I bought a HikVision camera years ago.. it was about 200€ on sale... the wifi connection never worked. It took years until I found the damn camera buried under junk in my closet when I decided to contact the company about the non functioning wifi connection... well they had updated the software and voila: I got the wifi connection to work!! hurray. The software itself suck ass! It is simply shitty to use and the motion detection is total shit! It connects to the camera... once in a while.. maybe. It has days with no recordings although I have been jumping in front of the camera myself. As I said before, the motion detection is a joke. It records it's own focusing.. snowfall.. maybe a bug.. But anything actually interesting it just wont give a shit. Why record anything important? And all this time I've used my two cheap chinese nannycams.. cost maybe 40€ together. The app on my phone works almost perfectly. No complaints. Oh, and the video quality on the HikVision is nothing to write home about.

This was over 2 years ago. At the time no you could just view but not turn it on or off. I really never tried, since it is a "smoke detector" unless you ran the wire through the ceiling somewhere it would be very easily scene with a plug going to it. Sorry cant help more, I would "assume" that it should record just fine plugged in for a constant power source. Thanks for watching.

Will depend on how much movement is in the room. The customer I sold it to has a small office, he was getting about 45 days or so on the batteries. Again, it will take more "juice" when its recording so if you put it in say a guest bedroom with no traffic will last much longer than a living room where there is much more traffic.
