I am so glad I was able to help you. And, yes, of course, I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed like crazy. Best wishes from Frid PS I have another handout on which I juxtapose statements, wh-questions, and wh-clauses. Would you like me to send that to you?

Hi, Friderike. Thank you for making this video, which is so helpful to me. And could you please help me analize this following sentence? "He made me laugh."

Dear Bruce, I here is my take on the sentence: He = subject made = verb me = object laugh = objective predicate I don't know which nomenclature you are forced to use in your class. Here is a video I made about the most frequently used terms: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onepqGOim8eJqdk And here is a video about clause patterns: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXXHc62Hd9Rkfq8 Sending lots of best wishes your way. Love from Frid

Hi, Friderike. Could you please help me analyze this following sentence? "I have a good idea where he may be hiding."

@@brucezhang4621 Dear Bruce, Here is my take on the sentence: I = subject have = verb a good idea where he may be hiding = object The object is a complex noun phrase. It consists of the kernel noun phrase "a good idea" (which in turn consists of the head "idea" and the adjectival premodifer "good" plus the article) and the wh-clause (which is a type of noun clause, aka substantive clause, aka nominal clause) "where he may be hiding" as the postmodifier of "a good idea". I hope this helps. Best wishes from Frid

How cool that I can help you all the way from Germany. The Internet can be a blessing when used for peace and connection. Yes, I am on Instagram. instagram.com/friderike.hirsch.wright/ You can ask specific questions about grammar, like your fellow student from Kurdistan, for whom I made this video, and I'll try to answer with a video. Best wishes from Frid
