ANother thing about investment history is they never account for the degradation of the dollar. $100,000 in 1976 is $800,000 today. "hey I'm rich" no, in 1976 you could buy 8 houses for $100K and in Toronto, you can't even buy 1 for $800K. I was looking at TVs, in an old sears catalogue, you could get a 19" colour portable for $269 in 1974. That's $2100 in today's money. By the same token you can get a $42" LED flat screen for $299 today, that's $40 in 1974. Imagine? you as a kid waking up to a 42" flat screen TV for $40? lol

You are right Clausy, but you can buy the "index" dow or index s&p then it always goes up in the long haul but then the problem is inflation (same amount of money is worth less every year). Also today are very popular ETFs , you just buy an "ETF" Dow and it will go up as you say. Overall you are correct Sir, DO NOT MESS with investing if you don't have years of experience and kind of know what your doing!!! (even then its and art form to profit...)

When I still played . . . I played the Chinese tier VIII (tech tree) TD a lot: 271 penn with regular ammo and 340 with HEAT. But slow as fuck. BTW Talking about powercreep: just compare that Grom thing to the old skool Object 704 . . .world of difference.

Ah, Claus's "pause for thought" are great if the featured battle is a bit predictable and boring. Talking of speculation, I'm not sure if it is true or not, relatives were going through piles of papers of this lady who was recently deceased and it was apparent she "dabbled" a bit during her life. Among the papers they found a certificate. She had what amounted to a one hundredth share in the Coca-Cola company. Go figure!

Had to look up both these tanks as I'd never heard of them in real life. So the Nergal is a made up sci-fi tank? However the 55pdr was real enough, was going to be fitted to a later version of the TOG. It's calculated pen with APCBC was ~190mm of vertical armour at 100m; with a 20lb APDS in 1948 giving a whopping 380mm at 100m :) The Grom - I'm none the wiser! Is there ANY historical reference for it?
