I definitely don't think it was "just to be with" Justin because as Clay and Clay's therapist then discussed, he didn't even want to die exactly. Clay was desperate to make his pain end and/or be witnessed and was so overwhelmed by the pain of grief for Justin on top of all of his other traumas.

@@KristianNikolla8 I mean I'm an atheist who doesn't believe in an afterlife. I imagine a lot of people are more unsure and not thinking through all the implications exactly, including people like Clay and Justin who are afraid of death, and so overwhelmed with the grief of loss. If you really feel sure that people go to heaven when they die, it wouldn't be quite so horrifically painful to think about them dying and also wouldn't feel so permanent and horrible for them to be gone from your life. I know sometimes people kill themselves because they want to be with the other person in heaven but if Clay was motivated by that thought, I think it would've come up at some point at the end of the show. The only time they mention it is when Clay almost jumps off the cliff in season 1 after listening to his tape, and Tony suggests so he can reunite with Hannah forever: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIq7lHeGoMiKnNU and Clay just responds "Fuck you". Like not... "yes, exactly". Clay also wonders if Hannah might be in Hell at the end of season 2 when he talks with the minister at/after her funeral service. But like... Clay strikes me as agnostic and not the kind of person to ever have any of his suicidal tendencies in all 4 seasons be at all connected to his thoughts on the afterlife.

Justin was the calm n the insanity through the season. He was the piece that held them all together. He kept Alex and Zach from going over the edge. He picked clay back Everytime he broke down. He was a shoulder to cry on when Jess or Ani had no one. He sacrificed himself in a way so others would be ok. He deserved better. So much better still. He deserved a future

Why him?! 😭 He just trying to get better, it wasn't easy at all in his life. I was so excited for the 4th season, but when Justin died I cried SO HARD 😭😭 I miss him so f***ing much, my favorite character. His life was hard, but he managed it after everyone and had people around him who loved him, but now he is gone, I can't stop crying 🥺💔 It's so hard to see him helpless when he was always so strong 🥺😭💔

Same. He was one of my fave characters. I was looking forward to seeing him and Clay Graduating and going to college and then they showed him dying instead. He was the last Character that deserved to be killed off, one of the reasons why I don't like season 4 as much as the other 3 seasons.

Words cannot describe how distraught I felt when Justin passed he deserved so much more and I am so pissed that him and Jessica didn’t get their happy ending Which they deserved so much, idk why but I was up until 5 crying and mourning over his death even though he is just a character the story he tells is so much more and I think that after all he and clay went through the ending just didn’t do it justice 😭

This is so beautiful it made me cry again. Literally all I wanted from this season was a happy ending for Justin and Clay, I love their relationship so much and Justin has become my favorite character of all, I'm so pissed they killed him off after everything he went through. It almost feels like the writers wanted to hurt us on purpose, they knew Justin was a fan favorite and that people loved his relationship with Clay. Why couldn't they just let him be happy 💔 My heart is broken 😞

I loved Justin he was my favourite character, form S1 and I think he deserved to be happy and have a life. But I also think the choice of him dieyng was a hurtful but good choice. It really showed the impact he had and how being homeless and doing drugs ecc pretty much killed him to show how these people really need help. It was a great season🥺💖

It's magical and so heavy how clay didn't even knew Justin 4.5 yrs ago and now he loves him so much... Siblings in real life: know each other for decades but still end up hurting/ betraying each other... I love how important they both were for each other... I think the saddest thing about his death is, that his whole life was fcked up and now would have been the time, that everything would’ve gotten better.
