As horrible of a person as Clay is, there's something about this scene that sort of makes me feel sorry for him. Clay telling Orel that its "easy" to live a pleasure-free life, with the juxaposition of Bloberta showing up just to make some passive aggressive comment and then slam the door in his face is pretty tragic when you know that Clay's secretly gay.
