I made the mistake of getting too emotional & texting her far too much. She blocked me everywhere. After two weeks of no contact I sent her a book i had bought prior to the relationship ending. She texted me back. Last night we texted a few times. I hope not to repeat my mistakes. I'm not going to push matters. Its crucial she feels comfortable moving towards me. @clay Andrews I have pretty much tried everything to try and open my ex up and the last resort I have now is the open door technique... I feel that from the early stages of RtD I fell back to the very first stage and have no answer whatsoever from my ex. Super sad about it but as I always say hope and my strong belief is that never say never and give up unless you truly believe in potentially getting back. I wish o could have her say ONE word or two so we can at least talk and start from there. Never had big fights, arguments and negative interactions and that’s what has driven me crazy for a long time. I wish I could start talking to her again, but honestly if it does not happen I still will be ok because I know what I am worth and I deserve respect! Wish all the best to all that are in this journey to getting back with their person and personally, DO NOT GOVE UP and keep pursuing and chasing what your gut and heart tell you!

My Pop always have told me take your emotions off your sleeve and put them in your back pocket. Definitely a concept to be considered when dealing with a break up. And not only that it keeps your dignity in tact.

I made 2 big moves recently that I believe will help save my marriage. I have been watching collaborative marriage counseling coaches and several single counselors. I had made an ultimatum stating that he would have to be particular ways to be with me or be my friend. I texted and said it wasn't fair for me to do that and I accept him as he is and want to just work on being friends and go from there. I immediately noticed a change in closeness. The 2nd I did tonight. I told him that I understand why he was concerned with getting back together and I understood how he could want to be happy and that's all I want for him. That I too wanted to feel loved and jumping to another person seemed like the easiest way. We both mutually split for lack of connection. Emotional connection is also what I've reasoned as the most critical and essential. Basically what I've learned overall by watching several different channels is sumed up here. This is a very sensible and strait forward channel and I love that. Super helpful. I feel like my marriage is being restored. I got divorced a year ago. Initially at the separation, I did not know there was someone else and that they had been around for almost 2 years. That's apparently what led to our problems. It also has caused this reconciliation to take longer. Just after we separated I sent a picture to him of the jewelery I borrowed. He was angry it had my face in it. Today, I sent one of me in my costume and he replied, "Great picture". If it was a quick repair, it would be easy to break again. I am learning how to be a better partner to x and we get closer consistently. I believe we will get back together. It is a slow process if done properly but it works very well. He lives with the woman he left for. I can tell he has doubts. As his friend, he comes to me about his life. All I do now is practice becoming better and wait for him to see I'm the best option. If I feel like giving up I will and I will still be a better partner and better for myself.

Hi Meghan, After breakup, people would usually say that they wanted to be friends but then, it has some boundaries that goes along with it. It doesn't mean that you are friends, the dynamics will be just the same as it was before. it will still be an adjustment. At times, labeling each other as friends is a way to say that you both are not burning the bridges.

First, you have to be aware of your current status. Both of you are not in a relationship yet but since he is reaching out to you, it can be an opportunity to grow the connection. Remove the rebound from the equation. Focus on between you and your ex but again, be mindful that he is still in a relationship. His attention may be divided. Watch out on your emotions as well.

So hey Clay, idk if you'd answer to this but the situation im in is very unique im sure. So I actually fell damn near head over head for this girl was nice for awhile.. i messed up pretty with her. We haven't spoke in over a year now. We are both in relationships i believe she's engaged now. Yes I'm almost 100%, my situation back then was alot tougher back then, than now with life.
