Clay just pulled to the front of the youtube pack with that insight. There are a lot of people who post on youtube, but don't actually read comments. I hear they let the comments effect their emotions and can't handle it. Clay just dropped the best tip, to take it as he wants it. Don't let someone taking it out on you, effect you. That is why Clay is still #1 in any race he is in.

YOU'RE the best Clay, don't sell yourself short with the reaction time. You have the muscle memory advantage & but 100% there are things we can do to sharpen the reaction time. I can't remember exactly but at the Nationals you pulled a tree in the .04?, anyhow as you say 2nd quickest of the session was never beating 1st quickest. Better than the day i had today...

2 things. Been going to MGR every year for 20+ years. And every single time after the Anthem, those nitro engines fire up and give me the biggest goosebumps ever. Sometimes I get teary eyed. 2nd, Clay, pull some magic and see if you can get NHRA to move this race back to October again! I really want to see some mid 60's runs! I know it always rained when this event was held in October, but boy, records were broken every year here. Not only that, all the trees around the track were in fall foliage and looked so beautiful. On a side note, my friend got me a job at the track during this event back in 05, 06 and 2007. My friend was doing it for years at the concession stands and she got me a job for those years. Unfortunately, they put my as parking attendant those 3 years, so I didn't see much racing, not until half the race was over and most of the fans were already parked and at the stands. But I really wanted to be grand stand attendant so I could see the entire race.

I feel so bad I missed this race. I love this track and used to go for the weekend. Watch Friday qualifying on NHRATV and wished I was there for night qualifying and the fireworks. Don't sell yourself short Clay. Famous words of Bob Hannah " Once I've done something once, I'm smart enough to know I can do it again" . Only 2 drivers have beat an .030 light this season, thats right, only TWO all season in eliminations, one was an .020 from Josh Hart and I'll bet you can guess who the second driver who cut an .026 light in Virginia is, that would be you my friend.
