I bought my trailer at Phil’s Trailers in Waco Tx. He told me check em at 50 miles, 100 more miles and another 100 more miles. Dang aluminum wheels. 34’ Haulmark edge. All I had with me was a Milwaukee impact and set of sockets. They did check air pressures and torqued every light on it before I took off on an almost 300 mile trip home.

Well it took me all of my so called day off work to watch this minus all the other videos I get and I loved it!! And I think JC said it best when he said he rode down the track with a top fuel driver and pro mod street outlaw Jeff Lutz! The forward clutches are welded, that is why Dently will go forward in neutral and in reverse you have a three element fight locking the trans, trans brake does the same thing. My recommendation is to use sonnax parts for your th400

Honestly the trailer manufacturers recommend checking lug nuts after the first 50 - 100 miles. There is usually a sticker on the trailer and it's usually printed in the owners manual. Not saying that I always follow that suggestion but I do know it is there

Lost a tire off a brand new double axle open trailer somewhere between Kansas City and Topeka in the middle of the night on the turnpike. Watched the news for a couple days to make sure it didn't go through a car and kill somebody. Still don't know what happened to that tire. I was up against the barrier wall about 90 MPH! 🤔 Check your nuts!!!

Definitely... any multi-axle trailer puts a really heavy lateral load on the wheels anytime you turn a corner, and when you have a newly mounted set of wheels on the trailer it can take a few re-torques to get them to 'set'. Especially if the wheels are powdercoated. I would check the lugnuts at every gas stop on the first couple of trips with any new or new-to-me trailer or wheel installation.

Trailer lug torque check made it onto my pre-flight checklist a while back for Reasons. Especially my previous 20' trailer with alloy wheels. For whatever reason those liked to loosen up occasionally. The dealer made a point of it too when I picked it up as well as a sticker on the tongue. I did check them initially, but in the end I still had to learn that one the hard way...

I bought a '72 Covette some years back and went to pick it up, about 150 miles from home so I took my car trailer. The seller said " I figured you would drive it home?" I paid the guy, loaded it and headed for home. Days later it had rally wheels and I took the center caps and beauty rings off to clean the wheels, discovered that two of the wheels only had 3 lug nuts on them. Sellers make fun of "Tire Kickers" but it pays to kick the tires and check lug nuts. 😉

Dentley is funny, it looks like it takes about a month to get off the line compared to the civic or other cars (not to mention nitro cars) but then you see the radio come flying out and you realize its really not that slow, its just soooo big it looks like its slow.
