Jessica even though I have come back to refresh my memory, I still find your video's so uplifting. I cannot do as much wheel work( Like you I was a production potter) but I am now 80 yrs young. I only wish that you were on all the sites that you are, when I was learning I would have been such a more ambitious potter. We, at college, could only do certain things. When I wanted to make a more fancy foot on my thrown bowls, my instructor told me that I was not going to make the grade. I ignored her and I have been working since 1978 and I am still learning. ( I think that she was just looking to keep her job and she had favourites) This is something I could and cannot accedpt. In pottery we have to change as the world and fashion change, and I am just so thankful for your tutorials. I do not use the glazes that you are concerned with, (cannot get here and we mostly fire to ^9 or ^10 ) but your tutorials have inspired me in so many ways.Keep up the good work. Margaret

Hi Jessica! Been watching your KZbin vids for a long while now. I have recently retired and decided to subscribe to your channel, but not really sure what that means! We shall see...I think I just did it...but am also techo-challenged, so I'll have to wait to see if I did it right!! I have been a part time (weekend/summer) potter for many years. As I'm now recently retired, I am working more to become full-time in pottery! My partner is a full-time pottery teacher, but our styles are completely different, so I am always looking for outside inspiration...and you have helped! Thanks! We live in NJ and also have a home in upstate NY (Catskills) where I have been doing pottery during summer months. Sorry...enuf of me... What I would love to see more of would be videos of you glazing slab your work with textures. I have been using a wide variety of leaves as impressions over the years, both with raku and pit fire. I have "perfected" several raku glazes to use to raku, but I want to expand to high fire. I have begun to use underglazes with Spectrum 1100 clear, as well as copper wash with 1100 over, with really nice results. I also do small whimsical animal sculptures. Would love to see how you glaze your pieces...particularly when using leaves and other fine textures. Thanks! (sorry for the lengthy comment!)

I've simply asked my local dry cleaner if I could buy some bags. She gave me 5 for free. Love her!

If you only put three feet on a round bowl instead of 4 they won't wobble on the table top
