Should’ve laid bunt for some absolute madness. I suppose you’d rather pinch hit for Kershaw instead of pinching a fast righty in that moment though. But what was the idea? Base hit scores 2 go ahead runs lefty v lefty? I’d like my odds with a player who actually does batting practice, but I don’t exactly known this situation or what the final score was for this game.

Just watched a video with more context and Padres basically walked every lefty to get the bases loaded tied 7-7 bottom 10 with one out. Funny to see them have to look to the bullpen for a pinch hit in this situation 😂 I guess Kershaw has enough hitting experience for him to PH in this situation, but terrible At Bat😂
