This is the Price I like. He’s getting smashed but doesn’t get moody. He’s just laughing at the ridiculousness of Jonny’s finishing. Top stuff.

Clayton was already in form and he played 10/10 which is what u have to do to beat someone like Gerwyn right now. The amount of times Gerwyn was waiting on a double and Clayton took out high finishes is crazy.

Fun fact: the first 4 ton+ finishes Gezzy had 40 or 24 points left. So if Clayton had not checked, probably Gezzy would have checked. So without these finishes the match would have been much closer. So they were not only very nice, but also very important.

That final ton+, on the other hand, was the lone outlier. Price was back at 140, but as you said, if Jonny didn't get the 116, Gerwyn would try for the 140.

Apart from the 116 on each of those finishes price was waiting with a single dart on the double for the leg. Just shows how good Johnny was. Had he missed those it could have been 4 legs to price instead and match could have been different. These sort of moments win you titles. Absolutely Astonishing performance.

To beat a world class player (current world champ, current world #1) you have to play like one too, a d that was what the Ferret did, amazing match, played in a fantastic spirit by both. Darts is such a good watch at present, so many good players, and the level is out of this world
