Most of our street cars are basically built sleepers cause we have to hide everything to keep the stock look. Since police will constslantly pull you over for anything they hear, see or don't like.. and will take any chance to defect and tow

Awesome Falcon, I personally knew people that were in Ford's Australian engineering department, from the design, right through until the mass production of these 6 bangers. I am still friends with a woman who worked right up until closure, they absolutely loved the Barra motors, and she is in her mid 50's and still follows all the high performance upgrades with them.

There was talk about ford Australia was to continue building bara engines as an option for an American ford. Only until they run out of engine blocks, they are cast iron and need to rest for a few years after manufacturing to be reliable and not break. That's why most engines now are made out of cast alloy, they can be a complete running engine just days after casting.

The FGX Falcon was the first Falcon to take on Ford's global design, so it looks a lot like a fusion/mondeo. I always liked the first Barra platform BA F6. I wish you guys in the USA got it too, maybe it would still be produced.

@@DIgitusSmartas if Australia was left hand drive like the US, it would have seen the Falcon exported to the US. Being Right hand drive it meant increased production costs to convert it. Holden (Aussie Chev equivalent) found it tough to sell the Commodore as a Pontiac for similar reasons.

Staggered wheels, the rears are probably 275mm wide at least, more likely 295s. FGs have massive wheel arches that make fat tyres look skinny.

You would love them. Not only you can easily beef them up to over 2500hp no problems even using the standard head . The engine is very reliable and cheap for parts. Put it this way Australia taxi had standard Ford falcons and they got over 1 million+ km before they even needed a rebuild. You can run them on Petrol and gas. It can be very hot or cold. Nothing will stop the barra engine. They are a mechanics nightmare. Engine oil change and see you next service. Mechanics can't make money of these engines. They are a big inline 6 engine 4.0l they come in 3 models. standard grey none turbocharged. Red engine turbocharged. And Blue engine high performance turbocharged. 6 speed auto with quick shifting gears or 6 speed manual transmission.

HOLY **** THAT THING IS FAST !!!!!! It's basically a Ford Fusion sedan with an Aussie engine and a different name. If people ride in that thing and don't know what they are in for, the possibly of "brown in the pants" so to speak, is a lot more than if they've ridden in something as crazy as that in the past. Holden should take the 2022 Maloo HSV Ute and put a Barra engine in it during the factory production build stage and boost the power out to 500 horsepower minimum all the way up to 1,250 horsepower with a selective horsepower knob like the Aston Martin Vulcan has on the dashboard. I am from North America, and the Australian Barra engine, and the Holden HSV Maloo Ute are definitely changing my mind on my choice for my first car when it comes to that point in my life. A Ford Barra powered Maloo Ute, how crazy and awesome would that be ?

Because "Nitrous" in those bottles is actually basically Laughing Gas, extra power is achieved because it's introducing extra Oxygen, most system have 2 jets one for Gas and 1 for extra fuel.

Weapons grade street phucs in the pinnacle of aussie made land yachts (I know, in this case the weight is a good thing) always great to see. As long as you keep an eye out and flex it in "international waters" its literally worth every cent. Clay Wong? Nah Clay Right! Dude Barras aren't that expensive to build I just had mine built at trapnell race engines in Yatala Queensland and it set me back $7900 that is for 1000 horsepower capable that's just oil pump, rods pistons, timing chain , girdle , valve springs gaskets and head studs including labour

@@xr6turbolife988 Thanks Bobby - Upi has replied above, over 100k. I understand you;ve been told your motor is 1000hp capable, but getting there is a totally different thing. If you think your build will only cost you X, then double that number and you're probably close to the actual.
