Getting this locker was serindipity. That small spoon was solid silver. Back in the day babies were presented one to fulfill that old saying "born with a silver spoon in their mouth". Weird but true. I absolutely love the pattern on the flatware set. Thanks Jack for yet another great video.

That flag is not just given to the family of deceased people who served in the military. It's also given to police officers who died in the line of duty. I have one because my son died as police officer in line of duty. If he has any family at all, I think they would be honored to have it, weather military or police. Im glad your holding on to it for a bit just in case.

Omg I know your pain I had a unit like that but smaller a few weeks ago I lost my deposit I just couldn't get it together to move the stuff the boxes were bigger and heavier than I thought and I just got overwhelmed....I didn't get any more time from the company so I had to take the lost I left at least 2000 worth of stuff in the unit everytime I tried to move a box it fell apart and everything fell out😂😂😂 I pulled my lower back out trying than. Just gave up...good for you to get it done..

I used to have the exact same sewing table as the one you have for the second load. Bought in 1978 along with a sewing machine. My first credit purchase. * The flag is probably from someone's funeral. You can give it to any military office (like recruiters). Or the nearest VFW or American Legion. *

Mamiya 120 straight load camera! SCORE! That is a NICE piece of hardware. The handle on the side is a flash shoe. It's a twin lens. I learned to take pictures with one of those, and loaded the film before I could handle the cameras. That's a real professional set-up. Those 2x2 negs tend to be really sharp. In the silver box, those pieces with the initials look like sterling or coin silver. That includes the serving spoons on the right. (I can smell 'em from here!) Check everything that doesn't have the IS mark on it except that serving spoon in the tarnish sleeve; that's pretty well guaranteed to be plated.

The erector box does not belong with the parts sets that had motors in 1938-39 were in a metal box. the note on the book mentioned a 7 1/2 set it would have been in a metal royal blue box 18"x10"x3". Also sets that had carboard boxes did not have part MX the house. The answer is this is 1946 set.

About the flag... contact American Legion or VFW to help with ceremony. My USMC husband says proper disposal is as follows According to the federal flag code, American flags that have been irreversibly damaged or otherwise soiled must always be retired in a dignified manner. Here are just a few ways to properly dispose of a U.S. flag, all of which are considered respectful. Burial For those who are looking to dispose of an American flag on their own, burial is one of the easiest and most effective methods of doing so. The flag should be properly folded and placed inside of a dignified wooden box, which can then be buried in one’s back yard whilst observing a moment of silence. The burial location can even be marked with an object as a reminder of the flag’s importance to never be forgotten.. If not wanting to bury w ceremony a burning ceremony is also available but MUST be done w respect and proper procedures

Those flags are burial flags for military who have died. It laid across their coffin. Once folded your not supposed to open them. If so they're to be burned by the military. I have my grandfather's who died when my mom was 3. Definitely old.

Donate that flag to a local VFW or DAV or Amvet's. I'm sure the would be proud to have it. That looks like the flag that is presented to someone who served that has passed away. Different darts weight different amounts I like 21gram darts. I'm a week late on watching this . So sorry. I love this channel.
